I have been trying to find a good comprehensive list of horror movies that I can compare to and use to see what i have missed. Anyone know where I can find one.::rolleyes:

everyone has different different choices and favorites that's why i have mine favorite horror movies list..

Psycho
The Silence of the Lamb
The Ring
The Sixth Sense
Grindhouse
Haxan
Alien
The Shinning
A Nightmare on Elm Street
The Blair Witch Project
Werckmeister Harmoniak

So guys these all movies are best horror movies according to my views..

Really? The Blair Witch Project and Grindhouse? Hated those movies. I also hated The Shining but thats just because of how much it differed from the book. I understand why someone would like that from a different standpoint.

I agree, a really solid list. However, are Alien and Grindhouse horror? (I bet this starts a little debate:))

I'd definitely say Alien is horror. It can be classified as sci-fi as well because they're in space in the future and there's an alien running around but the damn thing is murdering people one by one and even popped out of a guys chest. Sounds like a horror movie to me.

Good list. Only one i havent seen is Dream Home...is that out yet? Am i thinking of the same movie?

dream home was awsome loads of torture and cutting up,yes it is out it's a cantonese movie,watch it it's good.

just to ask has anybody heard of a movie called heartless,someone told me it's really good i looked it up on imdb lot of good rating's.

Yes I HUGELY recommend Heartless its an extremely good modern british horror.
