10 Turkeys?? 1980s
10 well known films with the lowest IMDB ratings. Do they deserve their reputation?
Hobgoblins (1988) Frankenstein Island (1981) Surf Nazis Must Die (1987) Howling II: Your Sister Is A Werewolf (1985) Porno Holocaust (1981) The Ghoulies (1985) King Kong Lives (1986) Breeders (1986) The Hills Have Eyes Part II (1985) Piranha Part II: The Spawning (1981) |
The Howling II definitely deserved it......but it's so much fun to watch! Plus, my hero is in it!

Yeah I feel mean cos they are probably more tongue in cheek than trash but I think you enjoy them more when you're in on the joke.

Piranha II was pretty awful. Porno Holocaust I thought was more about the porn than the horror. The Ghoulies were fun - nowhere near the worst of the decade. |
Hobgoblins (1988) - Maddening watch.
Howling II: Your Sister Is A Werewolf (1985) - Worst in the franchise, and needs to be seen just for the awfulness alone. The Ghoulies (1985) - Very entertaining. Not necessarily a turkey, but a trashy entertainer. King Kong Lives (1986) - I must be in the minority for liking this ridiculous film. The whole premise is an eye-roller, but it definitely has some entertainment value. Breeders (1986) - Again, a painful watch. The Hills Have Eyes Part II (1985) - Utterly awful, but has some moments of fun. Piranha Part II: The Spawning (1981) - Just watch it if you are an ardent fan of James Cameron. The effects will have you in splits. Quote:

And I agree with Ros. Monkey Shines??? That one would never become a turkey anywhere. |
And I agree with Angra!
Several on that list are top notch films. |
What is this?Gang up on Fears day?I stand by what I said I enjoy the films mentioned only as entertainment value (IMO Monkey Shines and Manhatten Baby especially are gutter trash)I don't see one single iota of substance in any of them except maybe The Lair Of The White Worm which was at least based on the Bram Stoker book in terms of the mythology explored in it. I think you have all confused what I have said and applied your own meanings to it. SHEESH only Wickerfan seemed to understand what I was saying.

In fact here's some more TRASH that I have enjoyed.
976-Evil Night Of The Comet The Living Dead Girl I find it hilarious that the very people who complain about people being offended if someone says something bad about a film they like are in fact those most responsible for doing it themselves. |
