All of the threads - in every category - have a "last used" date of 5-11-11. Please, someone explain this to me. I know it's not my computer because it's showing up like this on both my computer at home and my computer at work.

Maybe some sort of a server reset or something on Horror's end. All posts and threads of the past 9 days have been removed or resetted.

This is bad...damnit.

This is very bad, especially for your contests! Who the hell did this? Do the mods have this power? :mad:

More good news: it also reset private messages. Now I'm really pissed off!! :mad:

Hopefully this is temporary. I saw a current home page this morning, but couldn't access the categories.

There have been a lot of problems recently.

Server reset. Maybe they upgraded the servers and the shifting of all data from one to another did this. Most likely by the people who were involved.

No Mod has this sort of power. All we can do is edit/delete stuff, remove Spam and ban Users. Nothing else. This was done by someone with Administrative privileges.


Hmm...it's like the history of this place for the past 9 days has been totally obliterated. As if they didn't exist.

Definitely a tech involved. Maybe they'll notice this.

I have emailed two people who are directly concerned with this particular happening. Anxiously waiting for a reply. As soon as I have one, I ll post it here.

Every time we have had problems the past 2 weeks, the screen says "Apache server testing"...So, either Horror is switching servers, or he is "upgrading" this one again...Remember how well all of the other past "upgrades" have gone?...One wiped out our ability to view IPs...Another made it impossible to upload images, so we all had to get photobucket accounts, and ALL of our previously uploaded images were just lost...The first upgrade made it impossible to access our albums from our posts, and we are no longer able to post 'invisible' because of it, too (every member had the 'invisibility' option before the upgrades)...*ugh*...Looks like this one won't be any better...

I emailed Horror...But...I'm not expecting anything to be accomplished by it...Based on past experience

Even the mod forums have been wiped...That's just beautiful...Better start looking for previously removed spam again...

I'm wondering if this also wipes out people that joined after 5-11? Because I don't see anything written by The Villain. Will he have to join again?

Is that what happened with the IPs? It definitely hinders the ability to moderate.

I'm going to hope against hope that improvements are being made.

I got my answer: The Villain is no longer listed as a member.

It's possible, Sweetheart...A rollback is just as if nothing happened past the point of the time and date that the rollback stopped at...It happens sometimes on gaming servers...We lose our levels, equipment, money and all progress that had been made during the 'erased' time...It sucks pretty bad...Of course, in gaming our GMs give us things to make up for our loss...We will get nothing but aggravation here...

I really hate when Horror does this. A little heads-up would be nice. I know I shouldn't bitch - it's a free site after all - but still.....would it kill Horror to let us know? I feel very bad for Avi with all his contests and The Apocalypment.....damn :mad:

Heh, this also means that people that were banned are no longer banned and can get on site.

I'm thinking the community went on a trolling and spamming spree and before undergoing a radical mindwipe technique, to forget our attrocities, we collectively decided to delete all evidence of the past days.... Probably best not to dig too deep on this one.

It's the beginning of Judgment Day, The Rapture and the last day on Earth.

As regards the Apocalypment, I still have the Excel sheet saved so I can pick up from there, no worries. A brief re-cap should do fine.

Tournaments will progress from where they were left off.

When I logged on in the wee hours this morning I was getting a lot of "server errors" ... this is different from what usually happens- it usually just says "page unavailable." My bet is that there was a server crash and the database had to be restored from a backup.

I'd say we're lucky thre WAS a backup. Thank goddess the place still exists! It's a shame some data was lost but at least we're still here.

And if you're looking for something in particular from the last 10 days... try Googling it, and see if it turns up in a cached version of the page, or even use the wayback machine on archive.org.

Whether it was an admistrator or a moderator who did this doesn't matter. The fact that it was done at all is really pathetic. Proud of yourself?:rolleyes:

They can take an innocent occurance like a dog looking at them as they pass by it into a message from demons telling them the end time is coming...

Or they can turn a server crash into some grand conspiracy against whatever they can cook up in their brains.

Anyone who has been here long enough and has a clear enough head knows that the site owner has exactly ZERO interest in the forum- it's been demonstrated over and over again- and who never step in and delete anything for any reason whatsoever. He just doesn't give a flying fuck about the forum at all.

So, if anyone is still trying to present this hardware failure as some kind of a "pathetic" attemp at censorship... you need to have a reality check. Seriously.

It sounded perfectly plausible to me.
