I was just wondering if anyone's actually been hit by one?...I don't mean a cattle prod or something, I mean something actually specifically intended for self defense.
If so, do you know what voltage, and can you describe the effects?
Would you consider them reliable?

We were talking to a cop in a bar one time who volunteered to get tased during his training. Apparently it hurts - a lot!! He said he went down like a ton of bricks and wet his pants.

I think it's standard for the cops here to get tazed during training to know what it feels like. I have 2 cousins that are cops, both got tazed, both posted the videos on facebook and both videos are hilarious.
