V's last post here was on New Years Eve, just after the last awards ceremony. Did I miss something? Was that his "leaving thread"? He did after all pass on the mantle of President.

It took you long enough to notice. I don't know what's going on with him.

perhaps his wife put her foot down....what with the new house and all.

Between his awards and tourney....he spent a LOT of time on here.

Kudos to him for NOT posting a goodbye thread. Words can not describe how much I despise those pathetic attempts at self-indulgent pity. He'll be back whenever he feels like it.

Just saying it's stunts like that that cause such widespread paranoia and all new members treated as guilty until proven innocent.

I know some fake accounts were created a few years back on April Fools day. I personally don't care for fake accounts and I don't know what the dickens these people were thinking.

I never figured out who Marley is, though I know it's not V.

In regards to V, I just hope he's OK.

Just to get it out there I am not V or any other previous member of this forum so I don't get accused of something. I did use other sites but I'm new to this one :)

I like the sound of Newb's idea, that V's wife might have told him he had to stay off for a while so she could have his undivided attention. Maybe on May 1st, he'll come back.

I like the idea that V realized he had an obsession and took steps to provide some balance in his life.

There's life outside internet message boards.

I would say a bit. I believe he said he was Bi-Polar in one thread [ it seems we have a few of those here ] And he did tend to take a lot of things too personal here. I wish him all the best.

It just seems very odd. He never seems to show any activity on Facebook anymore, he did say "See you next year" and whilst I agree, the attention seeking threads saying a tearful goodbye are annoying, I think after nearly 6 years and nearly 25,000 posts even a slight mention would make sense.

Just a shame he went so quietly. Granted he had run ins with people every now and then, but he was probably the single greatest contributor to this site.

Agreed 100% on both statements. He may be the worst I've ever met at taking criticism, but I still wish him nothing but the best.
