That's so weird. I saw this movie a few years ago but couldn't remember what it was called. Made a thread about it in the general forum, despite the fact it clearly doesn't belong there. Everyone seemed to agree that it was The Gate.

I really enjoyed that film too.:)

No, The Gate is a film based on a Mary Shelley novel, where a scientist creates a Monster from cadavers. Unfortunately, he puts the brain of a criminal in his creation, and it wreaks havoc until it finally meets its firey doom in an old windmill (or so it seems).

Took me ages to work out the name of that film though.

no no no

The Gate is about a lonely motel where a woman is killed in a shower

crabapple 01-16-2011 09:36 AM

The woman is killed in the shower, yes, I remember that part...and then those little goblin monsters attack, the ones that roll up into little balls and roll like tumbleweeds, right?

You left out the part where the guy puts on that Hockey Mask and kills kids at that camp.

So many memorable moments...there's a good reason why they've played it on TV every holiday season for 30+ years.

From the back of the video box... ""The Gate' has been hailed as one of the greatest motion pictures ever made"
