wicca
I was just wondering if anybody has ever been involved with wicca. I have been thinking of becoming a wiccan.
|
I think you should be thinking of doing something more productive.

If you are serious here are several books that I would recommend that you read and will help you understand Wicca and Witchcraft. Guide for the Solitary Practioner- Scott Cunningham Any book by Dorothy Morrison- I dont have the title in front of me but her books are excellent and are very easy for people to understand. If you are male- Wicca for men by AJ Drew and there is a good series of books called Green Witchcraft by Ann Amoura I believe but I may get the titles wrong because I dont have them in front of me. Check out Borders or other book stores and read the backs of books to give you an idea what you are looking for. Hope this helps Blessed Be |

I don't think that ANYBODY here has the right to judge someone based on their religious affiliation. Especially those who have little or no knowledge about the particular one in question. Yes, this means YOU, fluffcunt. |

It's a pitty that some people seek so desperately for excuses, instead of just taking responsibility for what they do... *sigh*

Wicca has been around for more than a measly 1,000 years. LOL Uhh Buffy wasn't really about witches, it was about vampires. Did you mean Sabrina? |
... I dont realy care how long wicca has been around, and I doubt you have any historical documents lying around your house that tell you!!!!! Which people practiced it first(and I mean of the original britsh races)???? OK how did all these American teenagers decide to be "wicca" If tv/movies did not inspire them! Are ancient British religeons taught in schools over there?

The word "Wicca" is simply an Old English term for Witch. And both Witchcraft and Paganism were practiced by almost all cultures. |
I have a degree in acient history speacilising in this ... but I guess I wasted my time ... I did not say ssf does not know anything about it ... I disagree, but I get that she is viewing it from a diffrent point of view yes there is a broad term pagan ... but the religeons of which she speaks are unrealated!
... funny how you know what I don't know! LOL Feral Cat |

***sigh*** Let me explain this to you as if you were a 5 year old. WICCA is just the English word for witch. No single culture invented Witchcraft. It was practiced abroad. There are many kinds of Witchcraft. Where the fuck is Haunted? I don't have the patience for this!!!! |
