Hobo With A Shotgun

Holy schamoley! This is gonna kick some pretty serious ASS!

I hope this indie gets a wider release. One of the best Grindhouse-esque trailers just became real, and with Rutger Hauer in it no less!

Quote:

"A train pulls into its final station and a Hobo hops from a freight car. He has dreams of a fresh life in a new city, but finds himself trapped in an urban hell instead. A city where criminals rule the streets, landlords evict single mothers in the middle of the night, and where the city's crime boss, The Drake, reigns supreme with his sadistic, homeless-killing sons, Slick & Ivan. Through the chaos, the Hobo comes across a shop window displaying a second hand lawn mower and a shotgun, and decides it's time to cut the grass, make the city beautiful and start a new way of life. But after witnessing the brutality that encompasses this city, he realizes the only way to make a difference in this place is with a gun in his hand and two shells in its chamber.

Cult horror is here! A homeless vigilante blows away crooked cops, pedophile Santas, and other scumbags with his trusty pump-action shotgun. Street justice will indeed prevail. Based on a fake trailer made for the 'Grindhouse' film by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez

Coming to theatres on 2011."

Holy Shit...you ain't kidding.

It's great to see Rutger Hauer in anything.

fiend_skull 11-22-2010 10:47 AM

Yeah, I saw this trailer a while ago and I've been psyched ever since. Rutger Hauer is a great actor and I am so glad to see him in something that getting some attention.

It seems this will be a pack of mindless action & gore with some awesomeness! :cool:Hate to wait for it! I saw the trailer months ago & then shared it on our trailer discussion thread I guess.

Holy SHIT that looks epic.

So often I find myself complaining about gore being overused as a scare tactic. It's films like this that shut me up! Films that go all out and don't take themselves too seriously and just go with it.

Sistinas666 04-12-2011 12:12 PM

OK, I'm 20 mins and 40 seconds into it and loving it. At 20 mins 40 secs I swear to god that Sam "Caveman" Lasco( Sam Tarasco from Trailer Park Boys) is the cop with the chief who throws the hobo into the trash dumpster. IMBD doesn't credit him but his bio says he lives in Nova Scotia and continues to act. Did anyone else notice this?

Sistinas666 04-12-2011 01:31 PM

I finished the movie and loved it! Much better than Machette IMO.

I messaged Sam Tarasco on facebook and asked if he made a cameo uncredited. He actually messaged me back and confirmed it was him and that he is a friend of Jason Eisener.

Ditto. I liked it so much that even wrote & tuned a Bangla song about HOBO:) Just for fun I used to write lyrics for my friends in my school & college days but this is the 1st time I wrote one about a character from a movie.

The trailers have been removed due to copyrights..

I thought it rocked until the last quarter or so. The Plague was so stupidly over the top that it killed the whole movie for me. Sure, the movie is campy and already over the top, but The Plague felt like it was written by a nine year-old kid. Up until that point though? Amazing.
