I guess we should throw in the Planet of the Apes movies.
There are quite a few films from the 30s & 40s that featured ape attacks. Men with ape suits had very steady work. |

In the Shadow of Kilimanjaro, Night of the Bloody Apes, Dead Alive, Phantom of the Rue Morgue, Creepshow the Crate, The Ape Man. all great horror films with monkeys/apes.
|
I was trying to think of 'In the Shadow of Kilimanjaro'..
More giant apes: Mighting Peking man A*P*E* (I always wanted to see this) Queen Kong King Kong vs. Godzilla King Kong Escapes Son of kong konga King of the Lost World (The Asylum's KK rip off film) Guys in Apesuits: White Pongo (theres another White Ape film I can't think of - might actually be called The White Ape) The Bride and the Beast The Gorilla Time of the Apes (shite japanes Planet of the Apes rip off) Bride of the Gorilla The Beast That Killed Women The Ape As far as I can remember the dark house Porno had a killa gorilla in it (and a gorilla handjob) MISC: who can forget: http://snarkerati.com/movie-news/fil...ng-monkeys.jpg Shakma I'm sure i missed some - partically gorilla suit killas..I did ignore films like Return of the Ape Man and Monster on the campus as though the killers are apelike they are more like Neanderthals. |
WHEW!! A LOT more ape films than I thought (I think I'll pass on the film with the gorilla hand job though).
Nice picks Gorehound:http://www.gutzngory.com/singlepages...aratmonkey.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_aDaRwFO8tR...214-203743.JPG |

I ctually saw that movie on the big screan on a triple bill with Glen or Glenda and Polyester (RIPS Scala Cinema). How about The Devil's Gift (a rip off of King's THE MONKEY) about a possessed/evil monkey doll.. http://mightyjackmst.com/vidcaps/merlin.jpg I actually spent ages trying to track down one of those dolls... |
The is also a cool scene in tarzen the Apeman when the safari is captured by a tribe of midgets in black face. They are taken to their village and chucked in a pit that houses a huge killa-gorilla..

LOL - thanks....
Actually thats where I got mine from.. They were charging crazy postage to Ireland so I got some one to bring it over who was visiting. I'm the first to admit, I have a monkey problem... Oh and my fave Angry Chimp of all time: Travis: http://www.televisioninternet.com/ne...himp-photo.jpg |
Chimpanzees are evil! EVIL I tells ya!!! I remember hearing about a study that proved chimps have sadistic tendencies (breaking limbs, skinning etc.). And their practice of cannibalizing chimps in a rival clan; it sounds all too human.
|
I saw one of those on Amazon a while ago, ive also seen a few on ebay
|
But who would win in a fight? Bruce Lee or an Angry Chimp?
|
Angry chimp all the way!! :P

I'm still sticking with my choice of a chimp - even a vaguely annoyed one... |
