Offensive Bumper Stickers
 

No, I'm not talking about the "honk if you're horny", "save the ta tas" sort of bumper stickers. I'm talking about the ones that seem to fall into three basic categories:

Political - usually advertising how conservative you are (ie: Get behind our troops or get in front of them.)

Religious - usually advertising how Christian you are and how doomed the rest of us heathens are.

Your children - how very smart you think your children are because they made the honor roll or were named citizen of the month at the school they go to.

Any bumper stickers that really get on your nerves?

Then you must know some liberal, anti gun, anti war bumper stickers that drive you crazy.

I hate ALL bumper stickers. Don't know why.. just do. It's like saying "hey, know more about ME".

I couldn't agree with you more. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who feels that way.

Right on. I give less than 2 shits about a complete strangers honor roll kid or your political beliefs. I also hate ALL of the Calvin and Hobbes "piss on this or that" window stickers. I also hate vanity plates that try to be clever. Fucking people in general are egotistical morons.

Pro-life bumper stickers drive me mad. One in four people have had an abortion, so chances are your bumper sticker offends one of your friends, your sister, your daughter or even (and most likely) your Mom. On the same note, pro-gun and pro-war bumper stickers. Most of the people who have one of these bumper stickers, have both. Yep that's right, be pro-life and pro-death. The irony is killing me. I can see being for your troops, but being behind the killing, and okay with the cause of those troops having to fight is absurd.

Saw one about abortion once. I respect people's views, but I don't want pro life stuffed down my throat on a car journey. I don't know you, I don't care what your views on political issues are.

I especially can't stand Political bumper stickers... If they are bumper stickers that support views that I do not, it annoys me because it's self-righteous, in your face, and often spouting hate (the anti-immigration ones, or "Why do I have to press 1 for English?!" honestly honestly bother me).

But at the same time, if they are bumper stickers that DO support views that I am in agreement with, I am equally annoyed because it's self-righteous, in your face, and I feel as though that posting my personal beliefs on a cheap-looking sticky decal undermines issues that I take seriously.

So it's really a lose/lose situation.


Aside from the Darwin fish, the only other sticker I have ever seen on a car that I wanted was a Fallout 3 sticker that the guy must have created himself because for the life of me I can't find a decal online. It was one of these guys:

Any political bumper sticker annoys me, its like saying "while you are waiting for me to notice the light is green, please take a moment to take note of my opinion on everything", though it is funny when I still see cars with stickers from about 6 to 10 years ago haha.

to be sure I find it especially humerous when im parked next to some liberal with my stickers that say "Gun control means hitting your target

I don't do bumper stickers. Too hard to get off. The vinyl decals on the windows work great.;)

bumper stickers have caused me to take action against a vehicle once before and will possibly cause me to take action in the future

It's OK. We know that your "target" will most likely be your own foot, so we're not that bothered by it.

Lol-during my 4 years of highschool 2 kids shot themselves in the foot while hunting. One blew a hole in the top of his foot with a shotgun and the other blew off 3 toes with a rifle. I don't own any guns but i'm not anti-gun. I just think you should have to pass an I.Q. test to own one.

Love that Sci-fi one MissMacabre. If I'm honest, I don't mind a small ichtys. So long as it's tasteful, I just feel it's less of a "LOOK AND AGREE WITH MY VIEWS" but more of a similar idea to the cross round the neck. If it helps their faith, fine.

Agree with a fair few of these but this would annoy me. It's just needless forcing of your views on people who don't care!

Thats why I've always wanted a bumper sticker that read "I disagree with YOUR bumper sticker!" Now I just keep a dry erase board in my car.
