Cypress Hills new album (rise up) is pretty good.
I find "grand buffet" pretty interesting.
The last ODB release was really good too, even if he only recorded parts before he died.

I use to be like you as well until I discovered not all rap and hip-hop is about bitches, hoes, benjamins, bling bling, cars etc.

Give it a chance! :p

Maybe if you stick a heavy guitar riff behind it, although I have always had a soft spot for Cypress Hill.

Have you heard of The Transplants? They may be a band you would enjoy.

my favorite rap album would have to be the one that was never made...

Black_Brain 08-11-2010 08:47 PM

Check out Tab. Chasing Rabbits is a great album in my opinion. I have not been disappointed by one of his albums so far.

I'm not a huge fan of rap but I agree that cd is awesome, however I honestly think "Me Against The World" was his best.

A bit of an obscure rapper I've loved for years: AMG. "Bitch Betta Have My Money" is an insanely great album-the backwards drum beats blow my mind to this day.......

Elvis_Christ 09-01-2010 01:46 AM

I don't know nearly enough about this genre. Heaps of albums are hit and miss to me especially if they've got to many slow jams.
