What do you think of...?

You post anything - a current topic, music video, book, actor, movie, politics, sports, video games, war, history, mountains, James Cameron, cooking recipe, fishes, furniture, weather, mammals, etc., and get the opinions of others on the same.

Like for example - I post "The Catcher In The Rye" book by J D Salinger, and others come forward to express their views on the book and its contents.

Anyone can pick this up, but I request that you wait till at least 5 replies are posted to the one which is currently on.

Pretty simple? Okay, I will tee off with...

I liked the dude...a good "action" kind've figure of the 80's and some of the 90's, more like the "everyman" rather than the over the top action bad-ass, seemed to be a slightly more solid actor than those common to the genre.
I thought maybe his appearance in "The Rock" may have lead to a slight comeback in popularity but yeah seems to have faded into relative obscurity, in that he's not really been the lead in a great deal of solid things since...
I think that he's pretty cool, wouldn't mind seeing him in more.

Elvis_Christ 04-19-2010 01:25 AM

Dude rules. Reminds me of when action movies were in their heyday.

novakru 04-19-2010 03:10 AM

While filming the movie 'Navy Seals'
in my 'then' town-I lost just a bit of respect for him and other cast/crew mates for their off set 'behavior'.

I do feel sorry he can't get a decent role anymore though, he is a decent actor

Straker 04-19-2010 04:39 AM

Last time I saw him in anything was a small role in a crappy vampire movie. I'm surprised he doesn't appear more often in mainstream movies these days. Always thought he did a pretty good job in most films he was in.

The Krell 04-19-2010 04:59 AM

I like the dude. He's been in some pretty classic films. My wife thinks he's hot.

ChronoGrl 04-19-2010 06:23 AM

I... Have no idea who that is. :o

Very interesting range of comments for Michael Biehn. Okay, let's move on.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm! Is that lasagna?

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE lasagna, especially eggplant lasagna... I also have a really good eggplant parmigiana recipe that is a cross between lasagna and eggplant parmigiana... The eggplant adds really good flavor. You have to be careful with meat lasagna; it has to be good quality meat.

cheebacheeba 04-19-2010 06:42 AM

It's better made from scratch - gotta make your own bechamel and sauce.
It seems to be something almost everyone in the world digs.
A lot of places make it too oily for my liking.
It's cheap, and easy to make even in it's most complex form - It's good for families on a budget as there's always leftovers, it keeps well and it's great to re-heat or eat cold.
The vegetarian version is actually pretty damn good too.

ferretchucker 04-19-2010 07:22 AM

It's way better than any other pasta dish, as it feels like more of a meal. I can't be doing with the fiddliness of spaghetti. So long as it holds together well I'm fine but when lasagne is just sprawled out on the plate it's bleugh! I can't usually finish a whole portion though as I find it a bit too sickly.

novakru 04-19-2010 07:24 AM

The only food I make that has no yapping or fighting around the table cause they are too busy stuffing their faces and I get oodles of compliments, another rare thing from my children.
One of the very few meals I prepare from scratch.

So IMHO=
Lasagna: Gooood:cool:

missmacabre 04-19-2010 07:49 AM

Vaggie lasagna with a cream sauce... it's like mac and cheese but more layery and delicious.

FreddyMyers 04-19-2010 09:05 AM

Lasagna.....not good in restaurants. Best to leave it to a Gma or mom, ALWAYS made from scratch, Never gets complaints, noone leaves the table hungry.

_____V_____ 04-19-2010 09:37 AM

Very interesting. Everyone loves lasagna, of course. It's the one delicious thing which can be made quickly and is delightful to eat.

Moving on. What do you think of...

Interesting pictures.
For me, not to be taken seriously.

bwind22 04-19-2010 09:53 AM

Those appear to be cards from a roleplaying game that I am happy to say is a few levels above me on the nerd ladder.

P.S. Lasagna is great and that first pic looks like a gay dude from the 80s.

Not healthy, tasty, fattening.:D

bwind22 04-19-2010 09:54 AM

Or are they tarot cards?

Either way, nothing I'm interested in. I put about as much stock in astrology and that kinda shit as I do the local weatherman.

Not much interest in tarot cards either, though I do have a friend that is into them, and I have nothing to say about any lasagna that isn't prepared by my mother.....but I am still a little bit in love with Kyle Reese.

ferretchucker 04-19-2010 10:30 AM

I own a set of Tarot cards and get them out for a bit of fun every now and then. I believe they hold power but you have to believe it. By that, I don't mean it's like the force and truly exists, but if you think what those cards have said is actually going to happen then subconsciously you may actually put into place those events. In that light I think they can be very useful motivational tools.

About 5 years ago, Dustin pulled out his deck, and I ended up pregnant!

Hey, I said "DECK!"

He was reading the cards, and he said that I was going to have another baby...I told him there was no way in hell...3 months later, guess what happened...

Dude Guadalupe 04-19-2010 03:48 PM

It's true, I have a magic "deck" :D

Elvis_Christ 04-19-2010 04:13 PM

I've never had anything to do with Tarot cards, etc. I like my bad luck to be a suprise :D

illdojo 04-19-2010 04:23 PM

Tarot cards are about as believable as a Ouija board or Jesus.

ChronoGrl 04-19-2010 04:40 PM

I loved tarot card art and symbolism. Not sure if I believe, but I find it fascinating.

I've never had my cards read, but I'd like to.

Doc Faustus 04-19-2010 04:44 PM

I've found out things about people that they didn't want anyone to know with the tarot, so I'm a pretty firm believer. I do not believe they petition an external power, but rather they interact with the questioner's subconscious, expressing innermost thoughts and things people know but don't know with the iconography. I have seen affairs, cancer, betrayals and repressed homosexuality with my tarot deck. I saw enough scary shit in fact that I've destroyed it. It didn't interact well with people.

Psycom5k 04-19-2010 04:50 PM

Never really thought much about them. Other than that, I dunno what else to say. They never really interested me.

novakru 04-19-2010 05:29 PM

lmao @dude and rayne

Awesome:cool:

_____V_____ 04-19-2010 08:35 PM

Pretty divided opinions on Tarot. Of course if you believe in it, there's no stopping you. If you don't, nothing can convince you. :)

Moving on.

ICP do nothing for me at all.I'll admit I have not watched the vid above but have heard PLENTY of their stuff.

DP McCoy 04-20-2010 01:14 AM

Poor wrestlers !

missmacabre 04-20-2010 08:57 AM

Their lyrics are hilarious. Let me recant you with a few selections.

"I've seen shit that'll shock your eyelids"

"Everything you believed in as kids
Fucking rainbows after it rains
There's enough miracles here to blow your brains
I fed a fish to a pelican at Frisco bay
It tried to eat my cell phone, he ran away"

"Water, fire, air and dirt
Fucking madness, how do they work?
And I don't wanna talk to a scientist
Y'all motherfuckers lying, and getting me pissed"

Genius, really.

No. They crack me up occasionally, but are far from musically talented.

fortunato 04-20-2010 11:13 AM

"From Pluto to your anus, we're underground famous."

I saw ICP on Nightline a few weeks ago. Shitty journalism, but it was actually kind of interesting.
I think their music is pretty stupid (and maybe that's the point? I almost feel like they have to know how dumb their songs are.), but some people are awfully passionate about it, so what do I know?

_____V_____ 04-20-2010 08:19 PM

Well, it was about the song actually. And the lyrics. I thought they were some of the most touching stuff ever written.

Anyway, moving on.
