Best Modern Horror Movie Anthologies.

Tales from the Hood

This was a hillariously cheesy film, from the zombie politician brought back from the dead to get revenge, to "The Clockwork Orange" style brainwashing of a gangster. This film is silly, but also serious. A great film for fans of "The Creepshows" Enjoy!

Chillers

This anthology begins with five passengers in a bus depot who are waiting for a bus that is overdue. To pass the time, they start telling each other horror stories. I haven't seen this film in a long time.

Agreed. Trick'r'Treat was a refreshing horror movie. I was looking forward to it's release for such a long time, and was worried it wouldn't live up to the hype but it was great. More horror anothologies need to be made, especially when all the sotries intertwine like in this one..

Also just a note, you can post all of your info into one post to make things easier on yourself. ;)

I haven't seen Trick or treat or Creepshow III yet, but I posted them because there doesn't seem to be many horror anthologies out there. I'm looking forward to watching them though.

You forgot Tales from the Darkside:the Movie.

^^Thanks Doc Faustus!

No problem. Also, Night Train to Terror is good if you're looking for an anthology of utterly unpalatable crap and one of the funniest bad 80s bands in bad 80s band history.

Here's a picture.

Another entry: ^^Thanks again!

I finally got to watch it.

Night Train to Terror was hilariously amazing. It had the right amount of cheese. This has got to have been one of the best horror anthologies I've seen yet.

IS night train to terror made from cut down full length films (if its the one I'm thinking of)..

While not entirely geared towards horror the 2000 Japanese film "Tales of the Unusual" is something you should probably see if you haven't.

The girl quite liked "three extremes" too, didn't see it myself.

I recall one called (shamelessly) "Freakshow" from the late 80's as well, that was...so-so...bit like the 80's twilight zone I found.

It's the one with god & satan discussing peoples fates on a train bound to crash.
Here's the link to watch the full version on You Tube, enjoy:

Yeah I have it on DVD...

Checked it on Wiki :

the film was actually pieced together of three previously unfinished films Death Wish Club, Marilyn Alive and Behind Bars and Cataclysm.

Actually i think Cataclysm did get a release on its own..

^^Interesting.
