Nudity in horror movies

Does nudity take away from horror flicks for anyone?

It doesnt for me, but i know a lot of chicks who get pissed when they show tits.

AmarylandPsycho 04-08-2004 06:45 PM

Im sorry what

XFeaRX 04-08-2004 08:18 PM

I think nudity in horror should be used if necessary, not to atract young horny fucks.

Nudity is used to attract the younger audience. Im as much in love with the female body as the next "strait" guy but I'm more into imagination. The less I see, the more I imagine. And 9 out of 10 times, the imagination was much better. The use of nudity in horror has exceeded its limit. I'd much rather be scared shitless than be scared shitless with a hard-on. Doesn't do a thing for me anymore. As ususal, this is just my opinion.
Ladies and gentlemen, the smartest post on this entire thread.
Well said, MonsterDad.
I'm sick of all the FEMALE nudity. If they are going to have nakedness, it should be of both genders, not just the women. We watch these movies too, ya know. We pay the same price for a rental or a theatre ticket. We deserve MALE NUDITY!!!!!!!!!
If not, then there should be no nudity at all.

Freddy_Krgr 04-11-2004 03:37 PM

what the hell is wrong with nudity!?

Targangil 04-11-2004 08:10 PM

I'm all for nudity in movies, including horror movies. We need more of it. Of course it's just a waste of time when it gets splashed all over the screen and can ruin the all important horror atmosphere, but when used well...

AmarylandPsycho 04-11-2004 08:46 PM

Yeah I think nudity is alright if its done with taste. Too many breasts are not a good thing. It decreases the horror movies integrity if there is too much T&A. Makes it into a cheap ass slasher flick. Nothing wrong with those their just not my favorite typpe of horror.

vampire queen 04-12-2004 05:14 AM

I agree with MD and Maryland....it's cool if it's tasteful. But too nudity, even male nudity, gets old.

I agree:)

BudMan 04-12-2004 08:20 AM

I will also agree. As long as said nudity is vital to the plot.Such as Linnea Quigley's naked zombie in "Return of the Living Dead". But to just throw nudity in to titillate is useless. Like take for instance the "shower scene" where some young nubile sweet thang is taking her time soaping up........slowly...rubbing the soap along her.....body....washing....rubbing......soap bubbles cascading ever so slowly over her pert upright..............shit....Ill be back.

nudity in horror for me is kinda like humor-not terrible if done in moderation. i wouldn't get pissed over but i do think it's kinda unnecessary, like humor. some laughs are okay but that's what ended up killing ANOES imo. freddy just did his stand up routine and sliced a few ppl-the kills weren't all that great. some laughs ok, but overall i want to be scared. and if i want to see porn generally i rent one....

i agree this doesnt belong, but i love it when my fiance decides to "make fun" of movies that do that while she is in the shower. I get pulled muscles too :)

HappyCamper 04-15-2004 06:25 AM

if i want to see lots of tits and ass, i'll go rent porn

Vodstok 04-15-2004 07:59 AM

why rent when you have the internet :)

nudity

TOTALLY agree with Stepfather Fan [SFF] in every way!

I watch horrors for horror, if I wanted to see naked women.......... well I guess I NEVER want to see naked women. EEEEW!!!!!!!!!

If they do show the stuff though, as she said it should be balanced wityh both sexes. Just a result of too many men making these movies. Need some lady from our forum to start making films!

i just wanted to point out that 28 days later only has male nudity.

nine9 04-17-2004 05:37 PM

nudity

mmmmmmm............

I can't remember any nudity there. Couldn't have been too exciting. In the beginning? Anyway I guess things may be changing in the movie world a little.

Good. Time the tide turns a bit.

Just think how thrilled you guys would be at seeing naked men every 3 seconds. My guess is NOOOOOOTTTTTTTT.................

You guys at the forum are allllllriiiiigggghhhht though! Very logical.

jay o2 waster 04-17-2004 06:04 PM

it depends on what the movie is, if there was a movie called "This is a horror movie and it has nudity in it" i think that movie should have nudity in it

alixzander 04-18-2004 09:40 AM

i think it would be intresting to see how guys would respound to male nudity in horror.

feral cat 04-19-2004 02:13 AM

Naked bodies are essential for many horrors as they are often based on the idea of sinning and the main sin is normally sexual!

The sex scenes believe it or not are often their for the female audience! and considering the viewing figures for rubbish like sex in the city, im suprised to hear women moaning about sex on film!

Me I could care less about nudity in film, although would like not to see to many hairy male ass's in a movie!

It comes down to the fact that sex sells ... evrything ... including horror movies!

ps. dont stand next to me when you can see all the other urinals are free, its just good manners!

Nail on the head, you should just rename this entire thread that, since it will sum up any argument on the subject, and ANY subject regaurding sex.

Ugh, i hate it when people do that. It's even worse when you are trying to take a preemptive piss, because then nothing comes out because some assclown decided the urinal next to you looked more cozy.

freddy69 04-20-2004 01:48 PM

why do ppl give a shit if someone is naked in movies .if it bothers u dont watch.it dont bother me

I take it you don't like movies by Decoteau? (:

GorePhobia 04-20-2004 04:53 PM

what is a cheesy horror flick with out some naked breast?? nothing so dont cry about it

Vodstok 04-21-2004 09:38 AM

I get to be biased. I have an awesome woman, so i can just stare at hers if the movie is lacking. Most women share this same advantage.

Vodstok 04-21-2004 10:46 AM

Nice, but really, NEVER let that woman act again. She is just awful.

Devil7511 04-21-2004 04:41 PM

lol, I was watching her "acting abilities" when she was in Bordello of Blood, that's for damn sure. :p

Vodstok 04-22-2004 04:17 AM

In words inspired by Homer Simpson:

Bordello of blood was the suckiest suck to ever suck...

Ah hell, I have to go, my Damn weiner kids are listening.

Devil7511 04-23-2004 01:55 PM

How come my pic of Angie Everhart is gone?

LilMissScareAll 05-08-2004 09:30 PM

I think it isn't really necessary, in most cases...but it doesn't bother me.

It depends on which sub-genre of horror it is I think.

To me, a slasher flick without any nudity is like a comedy without any jokes.

When I go see a zombie or ghost flick though, I'm not really expecting it as much.

In the straightest possible way, let me say that it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if they decided to start throwing in a little more weiner for you ladies to look at, but I wonder how that would affect the rating. They can show boobs in PG-13s, but you seldom see much weiner even in Rs. So for a horror movie to have as much weiner as Sleepaway Camp has boobs, it would probably have to be unrated. (And that is the point where sex stops selling because most theatres won't even carry those types of horror films [The unrated ones.], unless its an independent theatre.) Not to mention the fact that whenever you see a weiner in an unrated horror film, something bad usually happens to it. (How many of you have seen Cannibal Holocaust. *Shudder* That looked soooo real I wasn't able to get an erection for a week.)
