Pretzels

I like 'em a lot... decided to give them a spin the other night instead of potato chips and I must say I'm sold on them. They make me feel like drinking beer :D

i just thought of inventing a pretzel sandwich.

Elvis_Christ 07-26-2009 07:04 PM

wouldn't they be to hard for a sandwhich? I guess you could break them up or something. Big fan of chip sandwiches

I like the big pretzels at fairs and stands... The kind you buy at the store are kinda... meh.

A soft, fresh-baked pretzel...I am familiar with getting this at a mall, or at least, I recall, getting these at the mall. With a little thing of cheese dipping sauce. Oh yum! It is to yum over.

I think Elvis is referring to the salted type, the small ones sold in packets/bags kind of like crisps/chips?
I know the other type, the ones that are more like bread? Not really that common here, and I'd assume the same for NZ?
a franchise came out here a while ago called "pretzel world", and as far as I know this is the more traditional type, I've tried them...theyre not bad but nothing stunning IMO - Though I did have a salad and creme cheese sandwich made for me out of one at that place, quite nice.

Love the little salted pretzels too though, one of my favourite snacks - though I usually try knock just a little of the salt off.

Yeh that's the one I'm talking about. I knock a bit of the salt off too.

Despise the small ones, can't eat a whole big one. Had it in Epcot in the German bit.

bloody_ribcut 07-27-2009 09:48 AM

I just had one for the first time recently. I was skeptical at first, but it was actually very good.

Depends on my mood, sometimes I have a pretzel craving and I pick up a bag. Once its gone, I'm done with them for awhile.

Been really diggin the Snyder's Honey Wheat Twists lately.

Used to like the ones at the mall that almost melt in your mouth with butter dripping off and enough salt to give an almost instant heart attack.

pinkfloyd45769 07-28-2009 07:53 PM

I have to be in a pretzel mood:)

crabapple 07-28-2009 07:55 PM

Ah, I am so in a fresh perrrrrrrrretzel mood right now! But it is late at night and there ain't no malls open right now...plus, I don't think they do pretzels around here anymore. OH you know what though? I can get a bagel bun dog at Weinerschnitzel, that is real similar to these so-called pretzels, concerning of which we have been discussing. About.

pinkfloyd45769 07-28-2009 07:57 PM

I'm kinda wanting one too:(

MMMmmmm... It's been ages since I've had a pretzel sandwich. I don't remember where I used to get them from, but someplace back home had them....
