When is the last time a movie actually scared you?
I don't scare easy watching movies but I'll have to say "The Eye" gave me goosebumps more than once.
|
Dawn Of The Dead (the new one) had me sweating through the whole thing. I'm glad i went to Hidalgo afterwards.
Exorcist still makes me reluctant to go to the bathroom after i go to bed. the ring scared the shit ou tof me the firsdt few times |
let me think....The Ring and 13 Ghosts really gave me the creaps! and The Butterfly affect was pretty intense it really made me jump
|
I have to agree with the Exorcist....Demons scare the fuck out of me
|
Yet angels to others..........
|
The last movie tha made me consider pissing my pants rather than get up to go to the loo was The Ring.
I just finished watching the Eye, I did not really like it that much, especially that blonde. Terrible acting. Has anyone watched the Ring2, bloody awful film. I still stick with the Exorcist as being my all time scare flick, especially when she goes down the stairs backwrds.... |

It seems, at least to me, that the older you get the less scary horror movies become and the more they are taken for pure entertainment value. I havent been scared by one in a long time. |

The last movie I saw that creeped me out was The Ring. Most new horror films are lame or have a good plot, but just isn't scary. The exorcist and Fear dot com gave me a haunted, eerie feeling, which was cool. I love the feeling you get when you feel scared or haunted.
|
*sigh*...Still waiting...

Okaaaaay think of it as if you were afraid of ghosts, that was the most intense ghost movie I've ever seen:o and out of everything in a horror movie, ghosts get to me the most, because they are the one thing I believe to be real:o....and yes, that's why I'm afraid of our basement...ever since we moved in it seemed like there was some kind of presence down there BTW, to everyone that's afraid of the Exorcist...I know too much about that movie for it to scare me..who's afraid of pea soup? |
Most modern Horror movies can't get me to jump. But the Ring def scared the crap outta me. Also I got pretty freaked out by Event Horizon(scene in the duct).
|
Ghost Ship.
|
I would have to say, of any recent movie, DOTD-new. I jumped so many times, I lost count!!
But as far as all-time, it would have to be the Exorsist. |
well, after my Freddy night ( watched them all + FvJ in one night..or I started around 9.00 pm and finnished around 9.00 am) I was kinda messed up all day. there was this this constant fear of being killed hanging over me all day, and I saw Freddy practically everywhere. when I looked in the mirror, I saw Freddy, the old man from next door looked like Freddy, every shaddow looked like Freddy. It was really creepy but also a lot of fun...
also, The Ring scared the hell out of me when I watched it alone in the middle of the night |
i dont watch many. but my roommate said the ring was really good, soi watched that
scared the crap out of me. it was well done. i watched it twice and spent most of the first time turned backward. the 2nd time i actualy watched it, but the part where the girls face is all fallen off in the closet.. i didnt lok at that :D |
ya, the ring was pretty creepy, especially the part when the girl comes out of the tv. scary shit.
|
Haunted house movies.
Haunted house movies can spook me a little... especially if I am home alone at night...
The Changeling, The Amityille Horror, Session 9 (of course, that place may or may not have been haunted... hmmm). Oh yeah... I may do a separate post about this one... "St. Francisville Experiment." This one really spooked me. Yes, there were many cheesy parts in this flick, but there were still some scary scenes. I guess, I was imagining myself being in that house. In real life, I'm a big chicken-shit!! This is an obvious Blair Witch rip-off, therefore I give "The Blair Witch Project" higher marks. However, if "St. Francisville..." had come out first, I would probably choose it over Blair. |
the ring will be the only movie lately that scared me....its just the fact that i was high and i was alone....and it fucking freaked me

The last movie I can think of that really scared me was The Shining, with Jack Nickleson. I believe I was 12. I mean im not saying I never have been scared after that, but that is the last time I remember being really scared shitless. I saw Exorcist when I was about 9. Whew I was really scared horribly. Because of all that early introduction to horror I am fucked up in da brain. ;)

XFearX, the whole idea of this post did not include you rifling through other's posts to tell that they're a pussy or tell us that certain movies were not scary and in fact they are crap.
As a matter of fact, I happened to think The Ring was an extremely creepy movie, one that I've watched a dozen times for it's creepiness. Also include: NOTLD (68) and The Exorcist. Now what you could have done would be to post: "You know, that movie didn't scare me at all. What'd you guys think about The Shining? That movie scared the b-jesus out of me." |

I agree The ring creeped me out also...I watched it a few times....& Ghostship was also scary http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/v/hairraise.gif |
The Texas Chainsaw massacre remake.
|
The Exorcist still creeps me out a little.
And yeah, St. Francisville Experiment had a couple of really good scenes. |
The Exorcist scared me
I had to go to bed with a tennis racket! >.< |
Maen
Maen..Am I the only one who was not creeped out
by the ring?It wasnt scary at all. I wouldnt consider jump-out-of-your-chair to be something scary.Rather scary is an intense scene where your heart pounds maximum speed! Therefore, Halloween is the scariest film I've seen. Together with Candyman. But also the influence the movie have on you Terror on elm street really frightened me a couple of years ago - Couldnt sleep for some days! |
The Ring wasn't bad. [IMHO] Most def had some creepy moments. I haven't see the original [ Ringu ] but I plan to. To me its all about atmosphere to give me the little chill and the rush I crave from my horror. Don't get me wrong....I love gore as much as the next guy [ or gal ] ....did I just say gal?....anyway gore is good but its the subtle things that really seem to do it for me.
|
I thought Ringu was much more disturbing than the Ring - strange considering the latter was the first of the two I saw.
Of course if you want to see me break down and weep like a ten year old girl just pop Picnic at Hanging Rock into the DVD player, it makes no sense but that's the only movie that's really got me on edge. |
yeah right
i never get scared
|
The Ring just bored me. Couldn't even get through the whole thing. Ringu at least managed to hold my interest all the way through and had a couple of good scenes, but overall it really didn't live up to the hype.
|
I dont find horror movies particulary scary, but reading on true crime sometimes creeps me out, like reading about Ted Bundy og John Wayne Gacy when your all alone it your house gets you all paranoid.

I would have to say 28 days later when he is walking through london and no one is about that would be horrible any case london scares me because to many people about.
|
when i was little i saw child's play and child's play 2 i was like 6 i was cruing after the first 10 seconds of part 1 when it shpwed the dolls in the store
|
Ringu is creepy as hell!, the american version was not in the least scary, but it was ok as hollywood movies go!
In the "mouth of madness" gave me the creeps "Dont be afraid of the dark" the little demon gnomes in the fire place that whisper her name are well creepy!!! "Dark water" is a little creepy, but its also getting a remake which im sure will be lame! Sam neils "eye missing scene" in event horizon is semi scary! I just found the exorcist boring! feral cat |
