Best Beatles Albums

This is just a mini tournament to find two Beatles albums to compete in the No.1 Album tournament. Revolver all ready has a competed and won it's place in the tournament, but will now just take a wild card into the semi finals of the Beatles tournament (it's place is still up for grabs and "Jimi Hendrix - Are you Experienced" will get a second life). I decided to do this with the remaining studio albums as most people seem to have a different faveorite beatles album and most top 20 albums of all time are mainly made up of them. And as I am only allowing two albums from each artist max in the No.1 album tournament this seems the only fair way to do it.

first to seven votes wins.

Sgt Peppers

(if the two comp. albums could be included then they would win hands down)

(on a local side note, my mother in law used to be best mates with Ringo Starr and I went to the same school as John Lennon, obviously not at the same time!)

Doc Faustus 03-31-2009 05:48 PM

Sgt. Pepper.
The best? The White Album. Most experimental, most thought provoking, hardest rocking, all around best.

Clockwork Black 03-31-2009 06:37 PM

Man, this is tough. All around Id have to say The White Album. Revolver or Sgt. Pepper either one would be tied for a close second/third.

neverending 03-31-2009 06:58 PM

The current round is between Sqt. Pepper's & Let It Be.

bwind22 03-31-2009 07:11 PM

Oh, Christ, Please, Please Me by a mile! One of The Beatles' most intricate and heartfelt early albums.

Yellow Submarine contained four new songs, two old ones, and a whole bunch of orchestration score (not by The Beatles) made for the film. The whole album was a cash-in to coincide with the film.
