Which horror movie is the scariest?



It's The Excorsist DUH!!!!

No way the exorcist are you high the scariest or at least the most disturbing is sleepaway camp

Ringu, Event Horrizont (ok itsnot horror as much as its sci-fi, but never the less if thats the case, what the hell is Jason X then) and A Tale of Two Sisters.

Cat in the Hat. by-far the most scary movie I've ever seen. Lol.

What about The Fog. I think Carpenter did a good job. Old movie but still scarry.

The fog no way a decent movie to say the least but not even remotley scary imo

The Fog actually freaked me out, despite it's obvious age. Sometimes, the more that's left to your imagination, the scarier.

the exorcist will always be the most terrifying film of all time, i still cannot watch it alone.

halloween and candyman(I'm hardly never scared while watching horror but I had to close my eyes a couple of times!Tony Todd was great in the role as Candyman)

The first horror movie that really scared me was NOTLD - the scene where Kyra Schon kill her mother(what really scared
me was the high pitched echo-baby cry)

The Haunting the old b&w to this day shits me up who needs gore when you can watch this to scare you

Juon The Grudge is the scariest movie Ive seen so far. Scares the crap out of me everytime I watch it. The Phone is well worth checking out for scares aswell.

The Shining is proberly the scariest mainstream western movie.

Well I also liked the Fog. The end was really creepy the first time I saw it!

Also think Session 9, Ringu & The Ring, The Eye, Event Horizon, The Changeling, and The Legend of Hell House were really creepy, and Don't Look Now is a classic.

These all gave me a chill, and I don't scare easily, too desensitized!

OH, AND HALLOWEEN OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the time I saw The Exorcist, it was on TV or video. Devil stuff desn't really scare me too much.......... oh wait! I did think the Omen was scary, guess I'm wrong!

Hey, I did really like The Exorcist though, and always will.

I know it wasn't the scariest movie ever made, but that scence out of 13 ghost when that woman was going to get into the bath while the ghost was already laying it watching her. well it freaked me out more than scared me. plus female vampires (dating from saloms lot n back) before they got all sensual and lame, just gives me the greeps!

I dont get scared easily by movies, and when i do its by stupid things. I think Signs was terrifing, when the alien came out from the bushes....AAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!

i liked that part of the movie like all the kids shit there pants when they saw it it was great

when I was a kid, there were 3 films that scared me the most..... American Werewolf in London, The Thing and The Fog.

Now I'm old and worn out and tamed, nowt realy scares me. It's only the gut wrenching scenes that I find a bit disturbing, not scary, such as in Audition, when the guys having his feet 'wired' off.

Nosferatu is the scariest horror film.

That is very eerie and cool! Hey I guess there are Vampire movies I like after all:rolleyes:

The fact that it was silent and the excellent use of shadows, really made it very scary. But...... I am another one who rarely gets scared anymore, just knows what is scary. Seen horrors all my life! I WANT one to really scare me again like a little kid!

As far as older movies go, definately Nosferatu. Other than that-...Ringu scared the hell out of me as did two scenes from Dark Water...

Nice to see someone else appreciates Audition. The wire saw was indeed quite disturbing. Good call.

Maybe.....But do you know what I dont get? Some gay critic said(and this on the back of itz box) the 28 Days Later is the scariest movie since the exorcist! Yeah Right! 28 Days Later could scare someone who is 28 days OLD

Scariest movie I ever saw was that documentary about the Trekkies. Absolutely horrifying. :eek:

Know what you mean, I KNOW what is scary, but it doesn't scare me really. Have a few moments....but otherwise desensitized!

I have to agree. I remember when it first came out, all the hype and stories on the news about adults sleeping with the lights on after seeing the movie. They reported that church attendance was even up after release of the film. I was 9-10 at the time and my cousin promised she'd take me after seeing it herself. After seeing it she refused to take me, not because of my age but because it scared her so bad.

I can barely sit through Exorcist. I have to cover my eyes with that one.

The Ring scared a ton when I first saw it. It has become on of my favorites and I watch it about twice a week, its still a little scary.
