I say it for the first time last night, and it was awesome. Leatherface was horrific:D I would not recommend someone that is not a fan of horror-movies to see it though.

You know how I first saw it?
. . . a foot away from a big screen t.v., alone, late at night. It was great. I hadn't been scared in a long time. The scenes of the screaming girl just running the woods got a bit tiresome, but from when the girl busted in the back of the gas station on was just the living end. I could've busted for a different ending, though. I didn't like that she survived. I wanted Leatherface to cut her up so badly. And the girl on the meat hook. That would've been a classic gore scene had they had Leatherface slice open the girl while she was writhing on the meath1ook. Not cut up her stupid boyfriend. He's already dead! Yeah. I cussed alot while watching it, though. Mostly alot of, "Run, bitch, run!" and "Stop screaming you fuckin' 'tard!" Stupid girls are so easy to kill! |

If you had a maniac with a skin mask and a chainsaw chassing after you after he killer your brother would you just be running calmy and quitley, no you would be screaming your head off. Leatherface was probaly saving Pam for later after he put her on a meathook and her boyfriend he was using for dinner or his 'art'. |

I think I'd scream my head off for about the first ten minutes, but there were some scenes that she was just running and screaming for no reason. When she crashes out of the bedroom for instance. If I had done that, I wouldn't have immediately started screaming again. I would've been running for my life and not screamed. She knew that there wasn't alot of houses around, and if the killer just lost her for those five minutes, there was a chance he wouldn't have been able to relocate her again without her starting to scream. And another thing--why did the guy in the eighteen-wheeler get into the cab and then have the girl go out the other side? I don't get it. Why not just start up the big rig? The chainsaw wasn't going through the door. But it was all for a purpose and people get flustered with they're scared, but really. |

Probably my favorite horror movie of all time, truly orginal and before its time. Not many scenes i dont truly enjoy in this one...

The original TCM is one of, if not THE, best horror films of all time. If you think you are a horror fan, but thought this was 'suckass' then maybe you need to re-evaluate what genre of film you actually like. If you do this, and you still think it's horror, then I want you to list a few horror films that you thought were better than this. (And if you say Ghost Ship or Cabin Fever, I might reach through the computer and smack the shit out of ya.) ;)

Which for any true horror fan would have enjoyed the suttle resemblence to such films as The TCM, Last house on the left, and The Thing. As for the TCM (r) it was a good movie but it didnt do any justice to the original all it did was milk the name and its legacy.
