So, I got a 360 for christmas. and I was wondering i'f i'm the only one with xbox live on HDC

i'd love to have it, but it costs a million dollars a month.

it only costs $50 a year. my gamertag is D00KN00KUM the (O's are zeros)

what about setting it up? looks complicated, and with the lag is it worth it?

I got a wireless adapter for $100, plugs right in the back, there's no lag whatsoever....ever. Its right next to my PC, which lags all the time and has the same connection as the xbox. Xbox live is practically flawless and worth every penny.

If you have the internet...you can easily have Xbox Live.
If you can figure out how to plug your computer in, then you can figure out how to get a router and get a single line to plug into the back of your Xbox. ;)

And yeah...50 bucks a year is super cheap for what you get. Demo downloads the day the come out, playing with friends online, and if you have Netflix you can watch "Instant Watch" movies directly through your Xbox instantly.

Totally worth it.

It was me, two of my cousins, my brother, Psycom, and one of his buddies.

Sistinas5802 is my gamertag. I don't play much of anything though.

I never use xbl I don't play any games only except for like uno but there's usually a bunch of freak shows on there and fat girls(I mean big mamas) showing their flabby tits. Or ucky old pervs trying to get at me. The only games I really play are Oblivion and any Tomb raider. I'm terrible at video games.:(

sometimes though I get on the mic while my bf is playing halo 3 and pretend like I'm whipping their asses and talking shit haha to a bunch of nerds.

Man, XBL just sucks up any extra time I have. I haven't even been on my copmputer in days. I mostly play Call of duty 4. I'm gonna get fallout 3 and the new CoD soon. I'm thinking of getting Gears 2 but all I hear is that people glitch and stuff the whole time.

Oddly enough I haven't even gotten around to PLAY anything yet. I'm too busy enjoying watching Netflix movies on our kickass television - This technology is AWESOME.

I also played around with the demo for Mirror's Edge. Which made me want to puke.

Just got Left 4 Dead, though... I know that some of you guys have it. We should pick a day and time and just go at it. :D

I would like to note that signing up for this service AND telling people about it without having purchased a headset - BAD IDEA.

The messaging UI is annoying - neigh IMPOSSIBLE.

I ordered a pair from Amazon, but they STILL haven't come in. :(

A quick superficial excavation of my closer revealed that yes, IN FACT the XBOX came with a headset. I even found the instructions too and have it set up.

Ii thought it was wierd you didn't get one. Both my brother and boyfriend got the system recently and they came with headsets. I figured maybe you just got the basic bundle or something lol

No, you don't need one. It's just easier communicating to others via XBOX live with it.

Thank God I start my new job February 1st and I will be getting an X-Box 360 with my first paycheck because I really wanna get in on the action!

So I went and spent about $300 on my 360 yesterday. Got 5 games, 12 month subscription to Xbox live, A second headset, one of those keyboards you plug into the bottom of your controller so its easier to type stuff now, a set of rechargable battery packs with the charger and and a charger that you plug into the 360. And I signed up for netflix.

Games:
1) Let 4 Dead
2)Call of Duty 4
3)Call or Duty: World At War
4)The Orange Box
5)Project Gotham Racing 4(Free with the live subscription)

Planning on Getting Fallout3 after I've broken these games in a little bit. :D

Fallout 3 is immense! So is left 4 dead, which I'm gonna start saving up for.
