not horror, but whatever, whos seen the new Eastwood flick? howcome its not playing anywhere!
I cant find it in theaters anywhere near me and it just came out, i heard it wwas pretty damn good too.

alkytrio666 12-21-2008 03:46 PM

I really want to, but it's pretty limited release right now. I mean, I live outside Chicago and I can't find any showings.

The Mothman 12-21-2008 05:57 PM

is it planned to open in more theaters soon?

alkytrio666 12-21-2008 07:27 PM

Yessir, I believe January 9th marks its wide release.

The Mothman 12-21-2008 07:51 PM

Oh ok...that answers everything. I just shoulda waited.

alkytrio666 12-22-2008 05:32 AM

Naw, I wouldn't have been surprised if Rod or someone else may have gotten to an early screening. Anyway, it's never too early to get pumped about an Eastwood film- I know I'm already counting down.

roshiq 12-22-2008 09:30 PM

I have got a very good quality dvd print of this movie earlier from a local store...I'll give it a watch tonight. Don't worry...I'll definitely post a brief review here.:)

All I can say is I never watched one movie of Eastwoods, just cause I cant stand him. this looks to be one retarded movie. On top of that nothing original at all.

The Mothman 12-25-2008 09:47 AM

your opinions have just now become nothing short of invalid.

The Mothman 12-30-2008 06:39 PM

Fabulous movie, go see it.

Elvis_Christ 01-02-2009 02:07 AM

Not sure when it's released here but I think I'll try and catch it on the big screen because its been ages since I've been to the movies.

9/10
My friend gave me a screener copy. Eastwood is the fuckin' man!!!! What a fantastic film.

screamer44 01-22-2009 06:34 AM

Depressing movie

sure there are some laughs at the way Clint uses every ethnic metaphor in the world, but the overall story is very depressing. I hated it. Waste of my time.

How can you hate him if you've never watched one of his movies? That seems incredibly ignorant to me. Anyways, great film I loved it.

stenchofdeath 01-27-2009 01:23 AM

I saw it a week before it was officially released at an advanced screening. It is a good movie, but i didn't think it was a great movie. Clint Eastwood is my favourite actor ever, i can't think of a film of his that i've seen and haven't liked.
I liked the movie because of the amount of different elements it has in it.

Halfpastundead 01-29-2009 11:22 AM

Great movie, and I'm an Eastwood fan, but the ending, I didn't really agree with. Great movie other than that. I just hate how all of Eastwood's recent films have an M. Night twist to them. It's like he sat down and said How will the audience expect us to end it, we will do the opposite, it's worked before!

I agree a bit.....I was expecting a Charles Bronson ending and the one we got was a little contrived and far-fetched......but it did seem to work.

not that a 78 year old dude taking out a dozen baddies all alone is far fetched either :p
but I would have prefered that ending as well, I always prefer those types of endings!
