Broken Hearted

So recently i lost my girlfriend. I found out she cheated on me so i had no choice but to say bye bye. It was about a 2 year relationship and it sucks it had to go down this way. Anyone ever been totally broken hearted? It feels like a lost part of me. I thought id share it here because i pretty much have no one to talk to.

Papillon Noir 11-26-2008 01:41 PM

That sucks. :( That's happened to me before, but the good news is that you found out about it and can now move on and meet someone better. :) How did you find out about it?

mikeyjay88 11-26-2008 01:46 PM

Long story. Its almost like a damn soap opera i kept calling her and she wouldnt answer she always does but this time she didnt. So i went over to her place and i have a key (we gave eachother keys to our apartments) i opened the door low and behold she was with some dude. So i left. She came over explained she didnt love me anymore then she said she loved him and that she was sorry and we could be friends. Not gonna happen.. i feel pathetic spilling my guts on a forum but your all people and have feelings so i figured i could get some cheering up. Im pretty depressed..

Papillon Noir 11-26-2008 01:51 PM

Yeah, you can't be friends after something like that. I would tell you not to feel depressed, but it can't be helped. Only know that tomorrow you will feel a little better and a little better the day after that. Just take things one step at a time. :)

mikeyjay88 11-26-2008 01:53 PM

Thank you. Your a sweetheart. I keep it bottled up b.c my friends arent really helpful and i love far away from my family. It feels nice to get it out.

neverending 11-26-2008 01:54 PM

You joined a horror forum so you could get therapy?

mikeyjay88 11-26-2008 01:56 PM

No but it looks like that eh :) Nope i joined because i love horror movies. They do however have therapy forums. I just figured i could make a thread about anything in this section right? Theres a gay thread and a over 40s thread so why couldnt i make one about having a broken heart?

missmacabre 11-26-2008 02:08 PM

Aww that's bogus. Feel free to PM me if you still need t vent. I hear I'm a super good listener.

I was in a 1.5 year relationship where I was being treated like major shit. I didn't even realize that my ex was controlling and emotionally abusive. I was kinda brainwashed. Once enough people I trusted told me that he was bad news I broke up with him but it still hurts when I think about it. Less broken heart, more How could I be so dumb?"

BUT I find that after you go through so much shit, the universe is obligated to give you something great in return. Or maybe you just realize and appreciate the good things more.

mikeyjay88 11-26-2008 02:12 PM

The men that emotionally and physically abuse girls piss me off. I loved my girlfriend im not going to say i treated her like a princess but i definatly cared for her in everyway. She even told i was the best boyfriend she ever had she just wasnt totally ready to commit and she found someone else. I treat a girl the way she should be treated with love and respect. My dad was physically abusive to my mom up until i was about 15 then she finally left him. Now she married a good man who loves her to death. I hope your next relationship or current one is way better!

Id love to talk to you. I think your really sweet.

mikeyjay88 11-26-2008 02:40 PM

I'm sure she'd love having the first straight gay couple on her show. Or are we the first gay straight couple?

I think the first gay straight couple to be honest :)

The Mothman 11-26-2008 03:11 PM

not to be a dick, but you have 20 posts, explain to us why we should sympathize with a complete stranger? this is a horror forum, not an emo forum.

mikeyjay88 11-26-2008 03:12 PM

woah my bad didnt expect to be hated for this one thread i guess i expected ya'll to be human and care but if you dont care dont worry about posting right?

missmacabre 11-26-2008 03:22 PM

If a frequent poster just broke up with someone they were with for 2 years we would care. People are People. Say Rayne and Dude broke up, would we call them emo for venting? So why is this any different?

Yeah, be friends with the person who did this rather than tell you up front...fact is, obviously she was happy going behind your back and would most likely have strung you along that way for some time...not exactly friendship material, where there's so little respect.

urgeok2 11-26-2008 04:00 PM

here i sit
broken hearted.
paid a dime
and only farted

yesterday i took a chance
didnt pay and shit my pants.

thats the 1st thing that pops to my addled mind every time i see the subject line of this thread.

I heard an updated one of that
"tried to shit" as the third line...yknow, on account of not paying anymore.

Although, might come back in...in the city here, there's some ridiculously modern self cleaning toilet booths...they cost 50c

urgeok2 11-26-2008 04:08 PM

i clearly remember dime toilets when i was a kid ... how insane is that ?

when we were young - but old enough to hang out - a big gang of us would go down to the woolworths in my hometown and sit at the soda fountain.
ice tea was all you could drink for 25 cents so this bunch of idiot friends and i would go there every saturday and sit there drinking ice tea until we drained the big container. the lady at the counter hated our guts.

we didnt do anything - we werent bad - we just drank her dry every single saturday.

fuck i'm laughing at the thought - i find that so damn funny now.

anyway - 1 of us had to make sure we brought a dime..... we'd all head to the can - the guy with the dime would pay to get us into the stall, then each guy would hold the door open for the next guy.

live in a small town kids.

Phalanx 11-26-2008 04:20 PM

If you added "and we all pissed allover the floor", that would be so me...

Snap out of it n00b.....obviously that hobag wasn't worth getting a stiff cock over. Time to move on, there's so many fine ladies out there....you live in California, get to the nearest beach and hook up with one of those California girls. You only live once, chalk that tramp up to experience and get out there and grab a nice piece of ass......you'll feel better in no time. Trust 'ol Drac....I know what I'm talking about.

mikeyjay88 11-26-2008 05:34 PM

honestly, no, i wouldn't. i don't know any of you personally, Im here to discuss horror films, not relationships, and frankly theres been too many of these types of threads to ignore. if somethings bothering you, i suggest you seek out a friend, family member, or therapist, not a distant internet stranger. im not tryng to be an asshole, im telling it like it is.

So, thats me venting.

mikeyjay88 11-26-2008 07:21 PM

Your entitled to your own opinion. Since you feel that way leave this threads alone..everyones different.

..............

mikeyjay88 11-26-2008 07:31 PM

Im sorry man if you cant ignore it thats your problem..

missmacabre 11-26-2008 07:31 PM

Wowww

Everyone on HDC is so grouchy lately. It's hard enough to keep positive, now we can't post anything about venting and a lot of members are snapping over the smallest things. If you wanted to go after someone who starts a whole new thread to post about their personal life you could at least choose someone who has done it more than once.

Besides, I think it's proper forum etiquette to check a forum out and see what kinds of things are being posted. Can you blame the guy for posting a personal situation when that's what he sees other people doing?

Done venting.

Bub the Zombie 11-26-2008 07:35 PM

Okay let me get this straight.
You sign up as a lover of horror movies, post a couple of pics in the Pics thread, no posts in Modern Horror or anything remotely related to horror yet, and proceed to make a thread such as this in a place which is still very new and full of strangers, at least for you? Such a sensitive topic is actually hidden from strangers, and leaked only to the best and closest of friends.
And even after that, I find your story hard to believe.

What's next? Picking out the most sympathetic person in this thread and start hitting on her to be your online gf of sorts?
People need to stop treating forums as any sort of dating service.

My suggestion - get a life, and a new gf, if all what you posted is actually true.

mikeyjay88 11-26-2008 07:38 PM

Haha you guys are so nice here
