Who wants to meet Bruce Campbell?

Bruce Campbell has a new horror film out, "My Name is Bruce". He's touring with it and doing QA sessions after each showing at the local indie theatre near you.

So after you go check out one of these showings and meet your horror idol, don't forget who introduced you to him.... bwind22. :D You're welcome.

Well I guess that works out pretty well for you then.

Zero 11-15-2008 09:44 AM

actually - if he were in my living room and i was in the bedroom - i doubt i'd bother opening the door to even take a look

That seems a little wreckless. What if he was robbing you blind?

Zero 11-15-2008 09:48 AM

i am so unconcerned about bruce campbell that if he was picking my pocket i wouldn't even look over my shoulder to acknowledge that i had noticed his fumbling fingers plucking at my billfold

Monkeys wear pants and carry billfolds?

Seriously though, I'm gonna tell him that your house is ripe for the robbin' when I meet him in December.

Zero 11-15-2008 09:50 AM

if bruce campbell were sodomizing me and had a firm grip on my shoulders to get some real traction - i would not even lift an eyebrown - that is how unconcerned i am about bruce campbell

Wow, that's pretty unconcerned! I think I'd raise an eyebrow (and a fist) if anyone was sodomizing me, even if it was an actor I wasn't particularly interested in.

:D

Zero 11-15-2008 10:03 AM

you get so uptight about these things - really . . .

You must have overlooked the :D . I wasn't being uptight. I thought we were clowning around.

Zero 11-15-2008 10:08 AM

(sorry - me too - just being a bit silly today)

for the record, i would probably object -at least with a kind of mild 'throat clearing' harumph - if bruce campbell was sodomizing me

No worries monkeyman.

Understandable. I'll let him know that he can rob your house all he wants, but your anus is strictly off limits.

Zero 11-15-2008 10:20 AM

a man, er monkey, has to have his limits

(and i'm proud to note we've wasted two pages of hdc website with this absolutely irreverent and largely irrelvant nonsense - we rock!!)

coffemaniac212 11-15-2008 10:21 AM

I'd love to meet Bruce Campbell!! Hes such a great actor.

Sorry dude, looks like he's only touring around the US.

The Mothman 11-15-2008 12:37 PM

son of a bitch hes coming to boston and Im not there.
ah well. i got really badly star stuck anyway, i wouldn't be able to talk to him.

hacelikewhoa 11-15-2008 12:44 PM

omg.. it says he's coming to columbus ohio but it doesn't say where!

hacelikewhoa 11-15-2008 12:49 PM

nvm I'm blind

MisterSadistro 11-15-2008 12:57 PM

eh. Plenty of other people I'd rather meet like Raimi who actually made the movies. I'd prefer the puppeteer over the puppet. Besides, this is just one step above the horror conventions that are filled with people that were in one scene of a famous movie and still trying to milk it for every cent it's worth since they've done nothing since (ala The Hare Krishna Zombie, The Nurse Zombie, The Machete Head Zombie, The First Jason, etc). I might go with a few friends to see the movie though.

Edit- Figures. I'm in same zip code as the theater, but will likely be in CA or AZ on those dates.

hacelikewhoa 11-15-2008 12:59 PM

Do you think you can pay at the door? Or do the tickets have to be preordered??

chaibill 11-15-2008 04:29 PM

I already missed the New york date. too bad. Watched the trailer i don't know looks a little bit for the kids. But i will rent it.

bwind22 11-15-2008 04:30 PM

It's rated R. I'm expecting it to be pretty cool.

novadawn969 11-15-2008 05:59 PM

Grah!!!
Why don't I have a car yet?
I love road trips and this enough of an excuse to go on one...
Just not on my motorcycle.
Hell no.
Why does he have to skip right past BFE?

Lol.
Hey guys!

fortunato 11-15-2008 07:44 PM

Ah! I got my tickets a week or so ago!
Can't wait. What a major event this will be. :D

neverending 11-15-2008 09:02 PM

Yep- we've had several threads on this already.

He'll be in Portland Dec. 12 and I hope I can make it.

I have an Evil Ash bobble-head- I wonder if therewould be any way to get him to sign it....

bwind22 11-15-2008 09:05 PM

His website says it's not a signing so don't bring anything but your smiling faces and good questions. I think your best bet would be to try and figure where he'll end up hanging out in his free time while he's in town and stalk him down there. I doubt he'll sign at the showings (because if he signs one, he'll have to sign for everyone.)

bloodrayne 11-16-2008 04:24 AM

HaHa...I had already beat you to this
http://horror.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37841

But, more people saw yours...SO, I guess we're even :p

I wish the movie would hurry up and get here...We've been waiting for about 2 years now!

Hmm...Speaking of waiting...I wonder if Dog Soldiers 2 will EVER be made...

Is Neil Marshall supposed to be doing it? I hope so. He's got a good track record so far. I really enjoyed Doomsday and Dog Soldiers. The Descent was okay, but I felt like it got over-rated. It was still better than the majority of horror that comes out these days though so that puts him at 3 for 3 in my book.

Actually, the last I heard, Rob Green was supposed to be doing it...But I've also read that David Allen was supposed to be producing it, and also that Neil Marshall originally intended for it to become a trilogy...
http://www.imdb.com/news/ni0549947/

It's been sort of an 'on again off again' kinda thing

This was in 2004:
ALLEN: Then we've got Dog Soldiers II: Fresh Meat which starts in September in Hungary and that will shoot for six weeks.

IGNFF: Who's directing that?

ALLEN: I can't say right now, but it's a pretty big name.

I read at one time that they were definitely not giving up on it...But...Then...Where the hell is it?

hacelikewhoa 11-17-2008 03:55 AM

damn.. I probably can't go. I'm broke :( I really want to see him!

bwind22 11-17-2008 02:45 PM

It's only $9 at the Minneapolis theatre. Surely you can scrounge or borrow $9 somwhere. ???

hacelikewhoa 11-18-2008 06:52 AM

I live in akron ohio

and it's like $18 bucks plus I'd have to drive 2 1/2 hrs to get to the show in columbus
