Worst CGIs

"The Hulk"...It was like they didn't even try...A "dishonorable" mention also goes to "Jason X"...Actually, I can't really think of any GOOD CGIs

BudMan 02-02-2004 08:03 AM

Agreed on the Hulk.Pretty crappy CGI. I thought the LOTR had some impressive CGI.

Vodstok 02-02-2004 08:08 AM

LOTR had INCREDIBLE cgi. Gollum was totally convincing. Alos,l CGI alone isnt enough, there has to be a good story and good direction. Good cgi without either of these is wasted effort.

Didn't you think the Hulk looked like Shreck? I couldn't watch that movie without laughing.

However, it looked way better than Lou Ferrigno.

Leslie Daher 02-02-2004 09:00 AM

being a tradionalist i generally dislike cgi but some particularly bad cgi
LOTR those dog things, the big monster guy, and the fiery guy
brotherhood of the wolf-that lion monster thing
sabretooth or one of those God awful animal attack movies
deep blue sea and anaconda
yes, to the hulk and torque looks pretty sad, too!!

what ever happened to good old fashioned make up effects????

BudMan 02-02-2004 09:17 AM

Ironically one of the best make-up effects men ,Tom Savini is in one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time, with the worst CGI monster ever put on film. The piece of shit I'm talking about is "Vicious". Avoid it like the plague people.

VampRocker 02-02-2004 09:19 AM

Three words:

Jar Jar Binks.

Thank-you.

Vodstok 02-02-2004 09:36 AM

*holds jar-jar's head under water*

Shit, he's amphibious.......

*grabs leather-face's sledge and begins smashing jar-jars joints*

"Ocha! Yousa Hurtsing Meesa! Wil the pain never stopsa?*

Hey, looks like he can breathe water, but not blood.

Signs515 02-02-2004 11:40 AM

Scooby Doo was pretty crappy, although I'm not sure the people who made it really cared. Great movie though :).

PsychoticPanda 02-02-2004 12:22 PM

LOTR had good CGI. So did Pirates of the Caribbean. I've never seen Hulk. Nor do I intend to. :D

_Leatha_Face_ 02-02-2004 01:01 PM

The Hulk of course and League of Extraoridinary Gentlemen

predfan 02-02-2004 02:48 PM

the mummy 2
the scorpion monster looked crap, the little guys with those blowdarts looked crap.

Extremely good question

Arioch 02-02-2004 03:03 PM

Resident Evil, lake placid, Deep Blue Sea, Underworld, the list goes on....

CG is something thats done wrong WAY more often than its done right.

avenged_soul 02-02-2004 03:40 PM

i kno i hated it! although spiderman was no better! i think the best cgi (if it counts) was in pearl harbor. all war movie graphics rock w/ authentisity!

GorePhobia 02-02-2004 04:07 PM

2 fast 2 furious had shitty ass cg cause they tried making the cars look fast and it look real cheesy

anyone agree??

crazy clown 02-02-2004 04:32 PM

yeah 2 fast 2 furious aside from a bad sequel had bad cgi i think.

meetthecreeper 02-02-2004 06:12 PM

I didnt think the Hulk was that bad, if you have read the comic you know how bug he was supposed to be and that would be impossible to make look real. The best CGI I thought was LOTR, but there are 2 many 2 list that were really bad.

bloodrayne 02-03-2004 06:21 AM

How could I have forgotten "Anaconda"?...Oh wait, that really wasn't very difficult:rolleyes:

Anyway...New winner for worst CGI
