Any fans of the show? Have the vids? Collect the cards? Had the games? This was a big deal in the mid 90s -to early 2000s before it's cancellation. I was wondeirng if anyone here was a huge fan-because I was. Who were your favs? How deep were you into it? Just watched the 1st season? Or continued 'til it ended? I want the details, Pokefans. :)

Ugh. I love that fucking show.

Wasn't until today when my bother played the pokerap and i remembered the words that i realized how much I had actually liked the show.

You still run it outcha basement on tuesdays?

...Played through "blue", they aren't bad games at all, just themed strat/rpgs.
Never played SNAP, but had a look at some of the later "colours" - I've pretty much got them all on emulator, pretty decent time killer, really.

The show, I've seen some but IMHO seemed like shit.

Which was your favorite Season? The original , Johto, Johto League Champions, Master Quest, Advance, Advanced Challenge, etc? And who were your favorite Pokemon?

I only ever watched the original. Moreso my brother did and I did by being in the room. I've never played a pokemon game or anything. Well pokemon snap, but that's different.

I had the games on the GameBoy color and Nintendo Consoles. Some of my favorites were Chikorita, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Totodile, Cyndaquil, Charmander, Rapidash, Dratini. Wobbafet was annoying. And Snorlax was so lazy.

I was a big Eevee fan.

Cool. I thought Eevee was adorable..not so much it's evolved form. What was your favorite attack of Eevee's?

my kid loves this show - we have the DVDs, the games, the cards, the toys...

i've had a lot of exposure - i know who all of the creatures are.


my personal fave is Dugtrio :o

amazing game ... It's the only video game i would ever recommend that ALL kids play.

basically it teaches you how to take interesting photos - and explain (in the most basic sense) what makes them interesting (framing, action, etc)


it was the 1st game my kid ever played - and i ended up playing it too .. lots of fun and extremely educational

I've caught some of the other stuff (shows, movies, cards etc...) but really, I was into the games. It was one of the best portable RPGs when it was first released (I started playing a translated Japanese rom before it was even released in the states) and continues to be a decent portable option for those who like RPG's with some light strategy. I've caught lots of pokemon (and forced them to fight each other) in my day.


Oh, and why the hell would anybody like the infinitely boring Dugtrio? ;)

Hey !! It's Polywhirl! This one used to creep me out at first. Seemed so stiff, yet semi confrontational. Not to say I wanted him to be a happy sounding pokemon but I don't know...he just never really grew on me.

My son watched it all the time....had a bunch of cards and figures as well. I could never figure out the appeal .....I was always more of a Bugs Bunny fan.

My favorite is Mewtwo.I thought Mewtwo was badass.I also loved the theme song and I pretended I was Mewtwo as a child.Haha.

Yeah I could see u liking Mewtwo. I knew al ot of people who liked Mew a little better than Mewtwo. I'm not sure why though

Catching innocent creatures, imprisoning them in a small ball-like cell, and then forcing them to fight for you. How do you not get that?

My "real" screen name here before I got banned by a drunken mod (and everywhere else online still) is DarthVonPokemon :D I had problems with the "Darth" moniker, too, when I joined thanks to the infamous DarthBane, who had just been banned for the umpteenth time apparently so I got a real cold welcome for mistaken identity.
I confess I never watched the show and the only thing I ever collected from it was the Burger King gold cards that were released during the craze. I still have them all unopened in their boxes and the Burger King bag advertising it (since nobody seems to hold onto things like that).
