I saw this little guy on the news tonight.

The wonders of nature are truly the greatest. Looking at it always humbles me.

bloody_ribcut 11-07-2008 05:02 AM

i want one of those.....

missmacabre 11-07-2008 05:05 AM

Gross. Looks slimy. Takes all the funny looking out of hippos and leaves behind the awesome danger of hippos.

Devil's Reject 11-07-2008 05:09 AM

I've never seen anything like that. It's really cute.

monalisa 11-07-2008 05:14 AM

Really cute, and sounds like an important step in the survival of the species.

Change her ears a bit and she looks kinda like a Baby Waterhorse! :)

I edited my post. lol I have been having some quoting issues in the last month and I don't think they have been human error though that may be the case. There have been times where I click to quote someones post and when it comes up I have quoted someone completely different, and here I quoted another post in another thread and was redirected here. It's annoying and makes things look sloppy but may be my touchy laptop mouse.

You better, or Rayne ll lock you in the shed. ;)

Dude Guadalupe 11-07-2008 06:06 AM

Plenty of dead bodies to keep me company in the shed. They suck at charades though.

And tenors.

Hippos cant sing, can they? Because if the large ones sounded like trombones, I wonder how this one would sound...

Twisted flute perhaps?

Anything with pygmy before it's name is bound to be cool and cute.

urgeok2 11-11-2008 05:56 AM

the pygmi hippos at our zoo are cute ... but when they are floating in their pond they like like turds.

When did they get pygmy hippos at our zoo? Last time I was there I only saw the regular variety.

as far back as i remember - they arent babys - they are full grown .. but they are tiny compared to regular hippos. they are just south of where they keep the elephants outdoors ... there is a little bridge going over top of them

Ohh okay. Makes sense that I haven't seen them then. Every time I've ever gone I have gotten lost and missed the elephants section altogether.
