And now it's time for me to share my birthday story...It's my mother's fault that I was born today, she did it on purpose

My due date was October 31st, yup Halloween, how COOL would that have been?...However, my mother didn't think it was quite so 'cool'...The thought of delivering a baby on Halloween really freaked her out...She was afraid that I would somehow turn out to be evil or something (She's a wee bit superstitious, HER mother was VERY superstitious), and the whole thing just made her really uncomfortable, she described it as a "bad sense of forboding"...I call it silliness

So, anyway...She was taking a very common drug at the time, that keeps babies from being born prematurely (because she had started having contractions at 7 months...HEY, I've ALWAYS been impatient!)...I forgot what it was called but it's an acronym comprised of 3 letters...Weelllll...One week before the due date, she stopped taking the drug...Went into labor that morning and I was born just after noon...Exactly one week before Halloween

I am now officially 40:eek: ...I'm catching up to Newb :D

Is 40 when they say 'over the hill'?... Or is it 50?... I still feel like I could climb a mountain or 2, well, if the baby would let me get some sleep first :D

But, thanks, that's very kind of you...Most people (in real life) don't believe me when I tell them my age...and to be fair, my avatar picture on this account is over 3 years old...The one on my NEW account (which I could use if the stupid spam would stop) is only a few months old.

My mother is 60...SHE looks 40, and her last bf was 40...She said the 'rule' is "As long as they are older than your oldest child"...lol

Well I wouldn't know...I believe 40 is the official Over the Hill Marker but I'm having internal conflicts and I'm only 17 but at times I think I'm old. I'm almost 2 decades old. Some say it's just in my head and they would trade places. But generally I view people old at 25. My system is like this: 25-35 [old] 36-46 [over the hill], 47-57[senior] 58-68[super senior] 69 and up [ancient]

I can sense the name calling in 5...4....3...2.....1.....

Wait until you actually turn 40. You might feel devastated, as I was at first. (I was in poor physical health but I'm better 6 1/2 months later.) Then you'll start thinking "Wow, I thought my parents looked a lot older at this age than I do!" I'm still young. I think 50 is over the hill.

Yeah, actually both of my parents are the same way:

My dad is 46 and my stepmother is 32 (10 years older than me), and my mom is 43 and my stepdad is 34 (12 years older than me).
