That's right. __V__ and myself want you! We need all of your help on the next HDC project.

I've already asked about commitment level, and I've pm'd a few people, so now the question is: what can you do for HDC?

We'll need:
Writers
Artists
Judges
Committees
Compilers
Voters

We need anything you can contribute from every single one of you. Don't have a life? Wonderful, we'll abuse you for everything you're worth. Work 8 jobs with 7 children and have 10mins of free time a year? We'll take that too. Every little bit will help.

I'm lucky I can put a sentence together, and I draw stick figures, so............I'll be a judge!

OK, let me edit this again - I'll do anything that doesn't have to do with writing or art. :D

I don't have the most free time these days, but I'd love to do some writing for this project.

You and _V_ both know I'll do what I can when I can. Time is the only issue, I'm capable of anything really.

I think I could muster enough time between classes to be a judge, if you grant me the honor.

And that is also the extent of MY drawing ability....;)

But I'm good with anything else really, I have some time during the week, most afternoons.

I'm willing. I can do almost all of the above. And I'd make an impartial judge because I'm a noob and don't know anyone.

I already know I'm starting something here I don't want to finish, but what the hell.

I can do some writing when I find the time.

The same goes for me...If I count as being worthy enough.

Judging can be a tedious task. Just ask the guys who judged the HDC 100 Hidden Gems list. I think Rod almost went feral from watching so many movies.

Did you get my PM Flayed? I am in as far as art goes.

I would be available for any or all of those tasks, Flayed, though I do have a preference for judging. :)

As for juggling, I might have to pass on that. :p

I can offer my services as an artist. That is all.

I can do pretty much all of them except compile.

Before you all get it set in your mind that you want to be a judge, know this:

It is probably THE most thankless, excruciatingly painful and tedious task you can sign up for. Don't believe me?

Ask urge, Rod, alky, Return, zwoti or bwind what they went through to compile the Other HDC Top 100. I'm not trying to discourage anyone, and I'm excited that so many people are applying. I just want you to realize the time and effort that goes in to said position.

Just remember, flexibility is good (who's gonna get to that joke first:p) We'll want you to rotate. Trust me, you'll want to.

But it's a blast if you have an open mind, I hope I've helped others see some people and things differently because other judges sure have done that for me. If you're set in your ways and aren't open to actual discussion and deliberation I'd stay away from judging.

Absolutely. It's extremely fun and makes you think about your decisions in a new light.

Before knowing the matter or subject I can't assure you at the moment about writing on or judging things as a competent person for those kinda job.
But that doesn't mean that I'm not willing to do those jobs and definitely I'll try my level best to do anything that can make a contribution to the project.
So right now I can only assure you about the other areas as Committees, Compilers & Voters.:o
