TV shows/ movies that made you cry

Or came closest. Anything? Doesn't have to be horror, I guess.

avenger00soul 01-28-2004 04:50 PM

I won't deny it....The Fox and the Hound.

Sam The Egg 01-28-2004 04:52 PM

I've got some weird ones. I haven't cried, but I almost did during:
The Wild Bunch
Donnie Darko (what happened might've been enough, butTHAT SONG!!!!)
And the weird ones: 2 episodes of Futurama (Jurassic Bark and the one with his 7 leaf clover)

Yep, Mad World is a killer tearjerker. Seems like Legends of the Fall almost got me too. And I think I definitely did cry when Goose died in Top Gun the first time I saw it.

Angelakillsluts 01-28-2004 04:56 PM

......

I have a list in my head, but I want to be the first to say Braveheart.

I'll post a big list later, but I have to go. Oh yeah, and Titanic.

bloodrayne 01-28-2004 05:29 PM

Stupid "Sixth Sense"...It sucked (not the movie, the emotion)...I hate emotional shit:mad:

hellfire1 01-28-2004 07:11 PM

ransom... mel gibson just cries so well, makes me wanna bawl like a baby.
ok, and i'm ready to be bashed, mocked, and probably even banned from this forum, but i assume the consequences of my acts... buffy's death episode made me cry hard. go on, give me all you've got !

bloodygurl02 01-28-2004 07:24 PM

i cried during a few buffy episodes. i cryed when she died to close the portal that was opened by dawns blood. i cried when her mom died, i cried at the last episode, i cried when willow had her brakedown after her dark magic rampage. i know i am a big baby. oh well

plus the song at the end of the episode "the gift" in which buffy dies her 2nd time when dawn s blood opend the portal always makes me cry when i listen to it. the songs called sacrafice. its such a sad song to listen to

Rotting Eye 01-28-2004 07:24 PM

Moulin Rouge. I'm a sucker for love I guess.

There are others, if I think of them I'll post again.

'

yeah only a brief second but it still counts alil i mean if xander wasn't there to give mouth to mouth then she would have crooked.

i think i cried most during her moms death cuz it was by natural means and not supernatural and how the episode was done was really good

that episode was amazingly shot. the atmosphere of the whole thing kept me crying during the whole episode. very intense.

donniedarko3 01-28-2004 08:13 PM

moulin rouge made me ball and so did watership down.

THANK GOD THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT KNOW THE MOVIE DONNIE DARKO! i live in iowa where everyone likes movies like Torque and XXX.

Big Daddy did when Jullian was taken away. Fox and the Hound is a horrible tear-jerker. Cant think of others.

StepfatherFan 01-29-2004 01:31 AM

LOL Well Sam, you've really got something started now. OK, last movie that got me upset was A.I.. I thought it was pretty sad. I also get kinda moody when I watch the final scenes of Stepfather 2. I hate seeing my man get killed. LOL Especialy since he didn't deserve it. I mean, he offed 2 people to be with this ungrateful bitch and then she just rejects him and......OK I'll shut up now. ;)

SweetDreams420 01-29-2004 01:42 AM

The color purple still makes me cry and I've seen it about a hundred times Bambi made me cry when I was a kid. Sweet Dreams the Patsy Cline movie and La Bamba the Ritchie Valens movie. true story movies always make me sad.

Arioch 01-29-2004 02:28 AM

"what dreams may come" probably because the subject matter was dear to my heart, and something i really used to believe in.

"City of angels", not much else i can think of. Good thread tho...

Leslie Daher 01-29-2004 03:54 AM

i'm a sap. i cry over anything. commercials, music, and movies. i cried when old yeller got shot. i cried once when i watched identity. dead poets society ALWAYS makes me cry! lord of the rings #1. i know there are others and this is particularly lame, i cry when i hear the song, "my Christmas tree" with all those little kids singing and the last little boy says he's going home...i tear up everytime!

big question : what the hell made u cry in IDENTITY ??!! lol

Signs515 01-30-2004 06:51 AM

Two things I found sad were,

Donnie Darko the ending and the music

The episode of Oz where the brother is put to death in the electric chair, I wish I started watching that show before it ended.

dethbyfire 01-30-2004 07:35 AM

i was sad when mufasa died in the lion king. poor simba thought he killed his father. :(

I know!! I didn't cry, but that is just SAD!!! I love that movie, though.

Stuff I cried at:

Pearl Harbor (HUGE crush on Josh Hartnett at the time..)
Armageddon
Season 5 finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Series finale of Boy Meets World (Loved it since.. I could remember)
Signs (WOW)
more, I can't remember though.

OMG!!! On the topic of Donnie Darko, if you don't have to DVD, and you haven't seen the deleted scene titled "The Impalement" for the love of God, DON'T WATCH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sam The Egg 01-30-2004 01:45 PM

all those "I'm a sap" type comments are dumb. None of you are bigger saps than me, I came close to crying during a 2 episodes of fucking Futurama. BEAT THAT!

PsychoticPanda 01-30-2004 01:57 PM

I cried at Signs! Everytime I tell someone that, they're like "Umm.. why?" and get all weird.

SOME PARTS OF THE MOVIE WERE FUCKING SAD, M'KAY?!?!?!

Sam The Egg 01-30-2004 01:58 PM

I was too busy being distracted by how INCREDIBLY STUPID the aliens were for such an 'advanced' race

PsychoticPanda 01-30-2004 02:14 PM

I guess they weren't all that advanced, then.

Sam The Egg 01-30-2004 02:22 PM

they were supposedly advanced, but they had no idea that the surface was mostly water and there was water in the natural humidity in the air. Dumb fucks

PsychoticPanda 01-30-2004 02:25 PM

lol guess so, then. Alot of parts in movies just don't make sense. The first time I saw Donnie Darko I think my initial reaction was "WHAT....THE FUCK"

Sam The Egg 01-30-2004 02:27 PM

yeah, but that's the kind of thing that you can get after more viewings. Signs' was more of a 'plot hole' kinda thing

PsychoticPanda 01-30-2004 02:42 PM
