I really appreciate you doing this Nella, but you should just let the patient die a natural death, as per Mr. Despare's request. He knows what's best, trust me. I know.... come here, let me give you a hug, it's alright.... ...the thread is going to a better place now. http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...cce/ussgwb.jpg |
I really don't want to abandon the thread. I've spent too much time posting in it. I also think your idea is a good one. When new people like me come to HDC, they will want to know which horror films each individual has watched so that they can ask for a review of a certain one. Maybe this will prevent more posts in the wrong places. :)

No they won't haha

No.

Anybody else here a fan of the Bloodspattered Bride? I saw it just a month ago and it shot right up there for me.

It takes little skill to prattle off 10 hip films you know everyone will approve of, but is more revealing to list 100, as your viewing habits will be more apparent. As I said before, nobody is required to post 100 in one sitting. It can be done over the course of 1 day, week, month or year. Matters not to me. |
Every thread turns into a mindless chatfest. You should know that.

One more time: Can someone "sticky" this thread? Thanks. :)

Has anyone seen Dario Argento's "Jenifer"? It got mixed reviews. I don't remember seeing it mentioned here. I've thought about watching it a couple of times but it's only about an hour long. I'm trying to avoid wasting time and money. Let me know if you think it's worth watching. Thanks!
|
Doc, I have Cat People on my Netflix list. I've heard of it a lot but I thought it might contain bestiality. Does it?
|
The Val Lewton one? Not so much. The remake doesn't either, but there's incestuous overtones. Cat People is quiet horror at its best. If you're looking for "catpeople", watch the Island of Doctor Moreau or Terror is a Man.

Jenifer is a decent watch. Its a modernization of an old story. I've got a Bernie Wrightson comic with it in it.
I prefered his Masters of Horror episode Pelts to that one tho. But you may aswell just get a hold of Sleepless or Mother Of Tears which are the best of his modern work. |
Thanks for the suggestions, Elvis. I appreciate your answering my question, too.
|
Ok, This was actually pretty tough.
Now, as Alky and some others have noted, there is a bit of a gap in my horror film background... HOWEVER, here's my first crack at putting together a top 100. I don't think that I can honestly rank my Top 100 films. They way they separate in my mind are in the genres that I will distinguish below: My Top 94 My Intro Into Horror: The First Horror Films I Had Ever Seen
Other "Classic" Films (define "Classic" as you will):
Modern Horror
Indie Horror
Asian Horror
Comedy
Hollywood Horror
