about zombies
 

I don't recall a zombie movie where the zombies could think. is there one? if not i think they should give it a try. We have been able to survive because there stupid. i think it would be cool to see what would happen if they could plot. I know it would be a lot harder to make it out alive!! what do you guys think?

The only ones that are coming to me right away are Return of the Living Dead and Cemetery Man. Those zombies think, talk, run, ride motorcycles, etc.

I guess i didn't think about it long enough before i opened my mouth. I do that alot. Re-anamater had zombies that think and talk too. Oh well I still want to see more along those lines!! :eek:

The psychos in 28 days later were a great twist on the old zombie motif. Rather than hungry corpses they are violently psychotic people, the upside being that they can starve :)

I always wondered if they showed a year or two after the events in, say Day of the Dead, if the zombies would have rotted to t he point that they couldnt move or function. i would think once the brain gave out, that would be it.

Vodstok, I think that would be cool if they showed it a year or so down the road. at least it would be something new!!!

Yeah, return of the living dead was a kick ass movie. I saw part 2, but I think the first one was better.

Bub from day of the dead could think, and had loyalty to a father figure. He was quite the advanced zombie though, due to the training he went through post death.

What about Return of the living dead part 3? That was the one with the girl who turned into a zombie and poked things into her skin, right? She seemed pretty smart. That is one of my favorites. Funny as hell, and cool too.

Ugh, Rotld doesnt count. They just refernced romero's stuff. Plus, the "zombies" in those movies were whatever they wanted them to be for whatever sight-gag they were pulling at the moment.


Bud was advanced, partially because of the time spent with him, partially because he was a soldier before he died. it is similar to (in the robocop movies) why Murphy was a successfiul cyborg and the others went nuts. They were wired the right way.

I wouldn't like smart zombies. That is one of the reasons i like zombies. A brute killing force that only lives to eat. And they attack in numbers. If they start getting smart, they are like vampires.

its my belief that the zombies portrayed in romeros trinity are by far the most superior. i could almost believe in that sort of thing. where as in ROTLD II when the barrel zombie uses a winch to break down a door? um yeah right.

I belive that was part 1, I only know that because he is my favorite zombie.:)

perhaps i have confused you. the barrel zombie that im referring to is in ROTLD II. hes the one whos head gets knocked off with a bat. yeah that girl runs into a locker and he uses a chain winch to open the doors.
