Extremely important question - need help
 

Alright everyone, my birthday is tomorrow, and I figured I'd do something extremely important for it, you guys might be able to help me out.

I'm the last person here to post personal stuff on this website, but I need help. I need to figure out who my father is. he is an actor, and a producer, who was around in 80's. I was born in 89. I was given the sheet of paper with his information about 2 years ago, and haven't found anything out, and I figured you guys could help me. Here is his information. No, this isnt bullshit, this is not a joke, this is my father, he was a donor, yes, I'm a bastard child, whatever, please take this seriously. please, i would be honored if one of you guys would help me find out who he is. here's his information that i have from him, word for word. i have the actual scan of the paper too, if you need proof. It seems like Im making it up because the dude seems flawless, but its real, swear on my life. you guys know so much about movies and such, I figure you might be able to help, because I've been stumped for years.

There aren't a lot of universities with a crew team and all universities always have a list of important alumni. I bet you might be able to find him that way. Just look for a guy who then fits the physical description.

Is there a possibility though that he lied on that sheet or is this definitely documented facts?

That's all pretty interesting. I've had a look and can't find anything that seems right. If you're willing to spend the time wikipedia has a whole list of Irish actors that you could go through. it'd take a while but at the end of the day, it's your dad.

Good luck finding your father, whoever he is.

Have you tried any family sites? Like familytree.com, or ancestry.com The more details and paperwork given to you the better. Have you tried the yelow pages? Search, phone and contact every single number within the past 19-20 years. I think Yellow pages come out every 2 years so start from 2008 and go back to '88 or perhaps even '86.

That's what one of my cousins did to find us. Her dad was one of my uncles and he had kids by 2 different women [she was born in '78]; he realized later what kind of example that was setting and deciding to get back in his kids' life. Not only was this a problem, but he was deep in the Gangster and Drug dealing world. He eventually layed low for about 8-10 years--started being a Jehovah's witness and really started to get his act together. But the mother(s) lied to the kids and told them he didn't want anything to do with them. My Uncle and her experienced a bad break up and I think that was how she sought revenge. And the mother didn't want to raise the ones she had by him; so one day was showing her the courthouse building. Then she said: "Wait, here I be right back and walked away." This was was cousin whom was 7 at the time (She'll be 30 on the 15th, I belive) and never saw her again until she was an adult. [Due to his rugged past he contracted HIV in the mid 90s as a result and died in 1997 from complications of it. He started out as a dealer, then a user-because of anxiety)

Apparently she signed her up with foster care without her knowing and when she turned 18 (he died when she was 19) she demanded whatever information her mother had or knew about her father to find us. Although she didn't tell her much--she did give her a photograph and his last name. So she got on those family sites, and them grabbed the Yellow Pages. Called and called and called--finally she found my Great Aunt (my mother's aunt), whom was elderly so couldn't process the info as quiclkly; but she then presented this info to my mother. Later that evening she drove by my house, met with my parents (one of her long lost aunt and uncle's) where they chatted for hours clearing up her head about the truths vs. the falsehoods about her dad and mom.

So her search ended at 26 but she didn't give up nad neither should you. I don't know if any of this was helpful or inspiring to you; but I hope it sheds light on impossibilities. Best of luck to you, and I wish the best.

Then I would check out out the alumni lists at universities with a crew team.

And if he didn't lie...perhaps there was some missing information whether it was intentional or not remains to be seen.

As far as your search for your father Mothman, if and when you find out do you plan on trying to meet him or do you just want to know who it is?
