Wizard of Gore (Remake)
Just found out about this one....With Crispin Glover and The Suicide Girls it might be alright. (For a remake)
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ARDGOREdvd.jpg Comes out on DVD Aug. 19th for anyone who cares. |
I actually was about to post a thread about this, but i forgot. i heard a buzz about it a year or so ago, then nothing, now all of a sudden its almost here.
the original was one of my favorite HG Lewis films, i might check this out. |

however the Suicide Girls being in it might be the seal of this films suckage, because I have no idea how it ties into the original. I dont want "The Wizard Of Softcore Porn" I want the Wizard of Gore |
My good God. I feel oddly drawn to this one...

outside of animal house, has there ever been a topless pillow fight? If the answer is yes, i am willing to bet the people having said fight were "children", or "guys". Not "hot chicks". |
I've been waiting to rent this one, I'm digging the Dimension Extreme label and I think Glover is friggin' awesome.
|
Considering how good the man was in Willard's remake, this one is very much worth a shot.
I can see him pull off this role with ease. As long as the director and the script give him ample space. |

Well Crispin Glover is in it, so it's already better than the original.

I read an article that Fangoria ran in its last issue and my interest has certainly piqued. Honestly, I haven't seen the original film, but my boyfriend has warned me away from it... I'm hoping with this copious budget of 3-some-odd million $$ will bring some spectacular over-the-top gore. Not to mention, I love the Suicide Girls and Crispin Glover is fantastic. I just added it to my Netflix queue. US release is Aug 19. Thank God for YouTube. Just found a trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2TaZzBb3Gc My GOD does Kip Pardue's acting look abysmal in these clips... Hope he was just caught in off-moments... :-/ Whatever. I still need to see this. |

crispin glover is awsome .. but Dimension Extreme is hit and miss ...(like anything else i guess) DOA is a misfit on this label, and Automaton Transfusion was shit. i have 5 films on the label so far .. looking forward to mother of tears and this version of The Wizard of Gore |

And we both know that everybody downloads all kind of media without paying for it.. you too. I am a musician and my debut album was available on torrent sites before I got it from my record label... That's the way of the future, and no one can stop it. You (all) and the movie companies/ record labels have to accept that, and start looking for innovative ways to profit on the internet and leave the old "hardware" selling behind instead of crying and bi...ing about it. -when you finally do that, the cultural benefits will start to flourish once again. being hypocritical and offenssive towards me just because i had downloaded a movie will not solve anything. It is just being childish.. ;) pardon my french... :-/ |
double post
delete this... sry |

I am just annoyed with all this because it, in my view, probably is nothing but a standard "noob-flamming" act disguised as some righteous act of law inforcing. I know that Foras often have this tendency with "new guys" but lets be honest about it and just say stuff about eachother's mothers instead or something. Wouldn't you too call that hypocritical or at least dishonest? :) But again.. Mothman might be the exception and thus require some appology from my part. -Or we could just let it go... |

but since you brought it up, as for downloading music, I try not to download mp3s from bands that aren't doing to good. I support my local scene, see locals shows and buy local band merch and albums all the time. And as for downloading software, I try to stay away from it because its great for viruses. I have bought a total of 100+ games in my lifetime, so I'd say im pretty innocent in that category too. |

One, you're a n00b. You don't really know anything about any of us yet. Two, if we were downloading movies, we wouldn't be openly speaking about it. And technically, you were talking of downloading movies, because I don't believe this movie has been released, and the only way it would be on your computer is if you downloaded it, or ripped it. Seeing that it isn't out yet, the latter would be near impossible. Three, there are a lot of filmmakers and special effects people here. I'm sure that they don't appreciate someone coming on here, saying that they have their movie, when the thing isn't even released. As far as the MP3's go, yes, people do download those. But not everyone. I myself am a musician. I get pissed when my stuff winds up on LimeWire. But when someone out and admits to me directly, that they stole it. |
sry again... delete this too! :(
