Aerosmith

Man their first album has been kicking my ass lately. Thought they were pretty cool and down to earth in The Decline Of Western Civilization Part II - The Metal Years. Pump was one of the first albums I brought as a kid... loved it and wore the fucker out! Gonna have to track down some more of these guys.

My Moms a huge fan but I never really caredfor them that much.they had a fee good songs but the stuff they put out in the last couple of years is just awful.

Elvis_Christ 08-04-2008 08:24 PM

Yeh they went a bit overboard on shitty ballads and forgot about rockin' out.

Posher778 08-04-2008 09:02 PM

I never thought they were that great. Don't hate them or anything, I have one album and that's enough for me.

Elvis_Christ 08-04-2008 09:09 PM

What album?

Big Ones.

My friend had it. I burned it.

I've got the radio remix of Just Push Play stuck in my head right now.

And I thought their (I think nothing's come out since then) newest song "Devil's Got A New Disguise" was fucking awesome.

My mom and dad were both into them so I heard them a lot when I was younger. I haven't listened to an album of theirs yet that hasn't had a few songs I liked on it.

I bought the Nine Lives album when I was 10.I liked them alot as a kid,and recently got back into them. That's the only album I own by them though.

The Mothman 08-05-2008 05:06 PM

I got respect for them because they're a Boston band, i need to check out that album you suggested, elvis, because all i ever hear from them is 'Walk this way", which i dislike.

ZOMG 08-05-2008 05:47 PM

Yeah "Walk this way" (1986 not 1975) kinda blew for Aerosmith fans, but hey - it brought 'em back in the spotlight.

Elvis_Christ 08-05-2008 06:54 PM

Thats how I first discovered them :D

Might pick up their album Rocks tomorrow seeing as there's a nice US pressing of it cheap at the store. Its got some good shit on it like Back In The Saddle and Combination.

Which version?

Studio
Acoustic
W/Run DMC
or Live?

I prefer the live version...

I love the 70's albums....

1973 - Areosmith (Self Tiltled)
1974 - Get Your Wings
1975 - Toys in the Attic
1976 - Rocks

I hate the pop shit they play now a days.

Elvis_Christ 08-06-2008 06:58 PM

I've never heard Get Your Wings I'll have to check it out. Its one you don't see around to often.
