fcuking furious.

after a long hard day of work, i return home and find one my movies i ordered arrived, Inside. I open the packed to find a fucking bullshit R-rated blockbuster box version of my movie. i bought this from the Unrated page specifically, this DVD is worth no more than 5 bucks, and i bought it for 15. How do i fuck this asshole over, give him her bad rating and such, and where can i find a website that will tell me what was cut out of this version, before i just decide to snap it in half.

First off i'd address the issue to the guy and then see what he says..

DarkwingMantis 07-17-2008 12:50 PM

What site did you get it form

The Mothman 07-17-2008 01:05 PM

it was used from Amazon. I believe he may have state that it was blockbuster version, i might have missed that, but it was advertised on the Unrated page http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846
and its rated R. The box I have, the scissors are edited out of the picture.

i believe it was Zwoti that directed me to a website that has comparisons to all versions of DVD's releases, regarding to whats cut out of which version and such. anyone know the website I'm talking about/ knows how i can get in contact with Zwoti? does he still check his PMs?

Nope, but here's a great site for comparing different releases.

Just had a similar problem. Ordered halloween 5 on tuesday from eBay. All the title was "Halloween 5" and the description was literally the same. It was a front on picture. It arrived and I found it was a fucking video! I'm pissed off at myself for not considering it as a possibility and the guy for not making it clear.

I'm not trying to be a smart aleck, but why did you buy it used for $15 from an Amazon vendor when you can buy it new (in its unrated format) directly from Amazon for $15?

That being said, I do use Amazon vendors when I can't get something directly from Amazon or there is a huge price difference and have run into the same problem. Fortunately, the vendors have been very accommodating. They've either replaced the item or refunded my money in full.

Before giving a vendor a bad rating, make sure you didn't miss anything in his/her description. I've been so excited to find something I'm looking for that I sometimes overlook the very thing that would keep me from ordering it. That's my fault, not theirs. If, however, the description was incomplete or deliberately misleading, nail 'em.

Reprint the cover and rent the unrated one..... then switch them out....I did that with a R- rated copy of High Tension. ;)

Find this proprietor and collect his testicles.

Or take illdojo's advice and rent the unrated version then swap it out. I did that with Dead Alive when I mistakenly purchased the rated version.
