The Sci-Fi Movie Tournament
THIS TOURNAMENT IS DEDICATED TO URGEOK - AN AVID SCI-FI MOVIE LOVER Often regarded as the closest sister genre of horror, Sci-fi movies hold their own when it comes to toying with the fascination of viewers all around the world. Since the moments when man started making ground-breaking inventions in his laboratories, to when man put his first foot in outer space...science fiction has been a pioneer and driving force in boosting and kindling our imaginations and their unrelenting flights of fancy. There have been countless sci-fi movies made over the years, but which one can be regarded as the definitive milestone in this huge genre? Let's find out from our HDC points-of-view. I have decided to postpone my break for a little bit more (the reason for the break was postponed here anyway) and bring you this huge, HUGE tournament. Huge? Yes, because there are 384 movies who will be slugging this out! Its divided into two groups, and the initial round will be a triple threat. And I know, each one of you will love this unique experience. So, here we go, into the void where we have so fondly gone before... to "a galaxy, far, far away", to places "in space, (where) no one can hear you scream", and to assure our fellow travellers "Come with me, if you want to live!" First match rolls out in a few moments... |
