Ringo Starr!

Hopped a train to Chicago this morning to attend Ringo's appearance at the Hard Rock Hotel in celebration of his 68th birthday. It was incredible- I was inches from him for a solid 15 minutes!

I'll add pictures later- I've never been so star-struck!

Lucky! Nothing else to say there.

illdojo 07-07-2008 12:58 PM

He's a legend... Sounds like a killer time, bro....Congrats.

Ferox13 07-07-2008 02:04 PM

I liked him in SON OF DRACULA :-)

urgeok2 07-07-2008 02:12 PM

I love Ringo Starr

one of my favorite tunes from the '70s is his : It Don't Come Easy.

Hard to think of him as 68. Ringo was certainly one of the 2 coolest Beatles, and he hasn't done too poorly for himself since.

Many of the Beatles song titles were reportedly "Ringoisms" - clever turns of phrases that Ringo actually used in his everyday speech- Eight Days a Week and A Hard Days Night are two.

I love the song "I am the Greatest". The record was really cool too the cover was like a book.

alkytrio666 07-07-2008 09:19 PM

Yeah, turns out I'm on every major television news channel. Right above Ringo's head during his interview, there I am.

Fuckin' a.

neverending 07-07-2008 09:22 PM

The only good thing I have to say about Ringo is that he wasn't as lame as Paul McCartney. :)

I am. Lol. Thought it was obvious. Probably should have put a :p in there.

C'mon. I have english parents who were born in the sixties. Thanks to them and the invention of cassette tapes and CD's, I pretty grew up with the beatles.

alkytrio666 07-08-2008 12:19 PM

Hahaha, I was dumbfounded. :)

Things to do before I die:

[] Share a television frame with a Beatle: Check.

very cool Alky.

I gotta say...Ringo was always the ugly Beatle...but he's aged much better than Paul.

kinda looks like an old lesbian.

not that there's anything wrong with lesbians

I changed my mind, ringo is lamer than paul mccartney.

The facts

He is the ugliest beatle
He is by far the least talented
He wasn't in the original band
He didn't write any good songs

It's still cool that you saw him, he was still a member of The Beatles.
