*Exlcusive* Friday the 13th Part XI Official Press Release
I wanted to let you know that yes, there will be another "Friday the 13th". I currently work at ComingSoon.Net as a senior editor and I recieved an official press release from New Line Cinema's Marketing and Promotions Dept. earlier in the week. I used to work for UpcomingHorrorMovies.Com but liked the offers from Coming Soon and quit 2 years ago. Well enough about me let's get down to business. This is an exclusive that isn's supposed to be released until Friday, February 13, 2004 ironically but I have given the scoop to several people already today so feel free to post the info it is good promotions for my site. Here is what the press release said.
Official Title: Friday the 13th Part XI: The Next Chapter Distributor: New Line Cinema in Association with Crystal Lake Entertainment Screenwriter(s): Matt Greenberg (Co-Writer of "Halloween: H20" and "Reign of Fire") Producer(s): Sean S. Cunningham ("Friday the 13th") Executive Producer: Robert Shaye ("Wes Craven's New Nightmare" and "Jason X") Director: Adam Marcus (rumored/in talks) ("Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday") Cast: Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees), Corey Feldman (rumored/in talks) Filming Locations: Vancouver, Canada and parts of New Jersey where original "Friday the 13th" was filmed Status: Pre-Production/Development Release Date: Friday, May 13, 2005 (rumored/in talks) or August 2005 Plot: Some legends never die, especially those we can't forget. In the 11th installment to the popular "Friday the 13th" franchise titled "Friday the 13th XI: The Next Chapter" will reunite the original creators' concepts for the series along with new and exciting revelations of today. The film takes place following the events moments after "Jason X" where Jason will be confronted by an old foe, brought to his knees, and held captive at a maximum security genetic research facility. Having the series live to true form Jason has escaped and will stop at nothing to do what he has failed doing three times, killing Tommy Jarvis. In his quest for vigilance, Jason will cross paths with a group of teenagers having a magnificent time at the abandoned Camp Crystal Lake with fun, games, drugs, premarital sex, and some slaughtering which will finally lead to a showdown between the maniacal Jason Voorhees and the man he despises the most Tommy Jarvis, the only person to escape Jason wrath three times. More mayhem and macabre awaits when "Friday the 13th Part XI: The Next Chapter" comes to a theatre near you. |
Can we have a link to where this says this....so atleast we have proof.
Until then, I think you're full of it. |
Sounds great:) But how will Tommy be on Earth 2 without it making no sense:(
|
Just checked the website, could not find one thing about this movie.

This is to all that have checked on my words
I recieved the press release Tuesday afternoon by e-mail to me from New Line Cinema's Marketing and Promotions Dept. The reason I didn't send the info out that day is I had to call Crystal Lake Entertainment which is located in San Bernardino, CA to check the source of the info and get some info that wasn't in the press release. The press release besides the advanced copy I got will not be released to full public eye until Friday, February 13, 2004 appropriately and will contain storyboard and scene drawings. You can call Crystal Lake Entertainment yourself if You don't believe me and ask if they have an associate from ComingSoon.Net working in a marketing case for them, you cannot ask about "Friday the 13th Part XI: The Next Chapter" in general unless you have reason to be put on the mailing lists for either Crystal Lake Entertainment Inc. or New Line Cinema. I assure all that read the version of the press release recieved from New Line Cinema to me, that it is 100% credible and for all that are on mailing lists will recieve the full copy of the press release including storyboards and in-depth production and creative staff information.

hmmm....I wonder if there will be a friday the 13th
part 12th..the 13th movie should be the last cause it would be like called"Friday the 13th Part 13:The Final Friday!"like Freddy`s Dead The Final Nightmare... except it wasne`t a tually the last nightmare cause he came back in Freddy vs. Jason so the same thing will probably happen to Jason...he`ll be in the 3rd installment which I hope is in 3-d! |
The Final Friday was the sub-title for Jason Goes to Hell
|
And there is no such thing as a final friday....there's another friday every week.
GOD! :p |
If this is true then hell yes.
|
Hey, did ya hear that they're making another Halloween movie? It's rumored that Paul Rudd is gonna be in it, and John Carpenter has decided to come back to direct it!
I've got exclusive sources! |
This douche actually pmed me telling me to call.
That's his only proof he can provide, but the thing is, I'm not going to call fucking long distance to have them say to me..."Who the fuck are you?" "And what the fuck are you talking about." He said they will announce it on Feburary 13th. How convienent. |
Well, we'll all know who's right on Feb. 13th then. Until then......

dude, it can work, jason x is set in the future, maybe part XI isn't then, but earlyer like hellraiser bloodline, that one ends in the future to, but part 5 isn't in the future, so it could be like that |
I think the "final" installment of Friday the 13th should follow this plot line:
It is just after Jason X's release. Jason Voorhees has just been embarrassed worldwide and must seek out his revenge on the infidels who soiled his good name. The production staff goes to a "celebratory" release party at Camp Crystal Lake, only to be stalked and brutally murdered by the only... thing... that can stop the ruination of an otherwise beautiful franchise. Corey Feldman not included in ensuing massacre. I think it will sell big time. Now I just need a a catchy sub-title... "Friday the 13th XI: Jason Kills Untalented 'Hollywood' Hacks After They Mutilate His Series." I... I got nothing title-wise... Any suggestions? *FADE OUT* |

YOU JUST DON'T GET IT! The only thing is, it will be kind of following Wes Craven's New Nightmare kind of plot. Instead of Jason being a fictional character, he's be real and killing off actors and such. |
if they can make ripley be cloned a million times (alien ressurection) then why cant Tommy Jarvis be clones? or for all we know he could have been cryogenically frozen just in case jason comes back (KIDDING) but I for one believe this person with their info and I would LOVE to see a new jason flick in theatres. BUT what I dont want is a hot dope new soundtrack featuring some rap crap.

now to the real topic. funny thing is i never read anything about this so untill i do....... |
There is no way in hell what theillestkilla wrote is true. No major motion picture company would ever issue a press release as poorly written as what is contained in his initial post. Go read any New Line press releases and compare the writing styles.
If you're going to bullshit a press release, at least learn how to write first, "Mr. Senior Editor." |

Illestkilla if you are bullshiting which I think you are, you need to be hog tied and beat with a brick.

We still have 10 days to find out.
I mean, I already know he's full of shit, but still. In the time being... |

Happy Firday the 13th...
Now where's the big news? |
Liars suck.
|
well, it's not like anybody believed him or anything, so no harm done. Except wasting bandwidth, and it's not like it matters at this point anyways
|
Damn, I figured my post regarding real press releases and the one he claimed was enough to end this thread for good. If someone claims something is a press release, the spelling, grammar, and overall tone of the "press release" better be of a higher quality than the one stated in this thread. His post was a joke the moment I read it...
|
i don't think the friday/jason movies should ever end. i hope i'm around for jason xxx.
