Least favorite horror sub genre
 

i'm thinking, some ppl are geared toward the slashers (fred, mike, jason)
others favor zombie horror or pyschological types (the ugly, american pyscho)
and then there's ghosts and demonic types and vampires and monster pics


anyone just plain not like certain types of horror?

The zombie thing is getting old, and most pyschological ones have the basis of a good movie, but then it somehow ends up not being that great.

Along with Slashers, they're starting to get old. Once you lose Freddy, Jason, Mike and Leatherface....there's nothing more left. It's hard to create such original characters like the ones mentioned.

I've never been a fan of slasher flicks, I prefer the demonic/zombie genre, with a splice of comedy. Like the Evil Dead series, for exmaple. A perfect mix... although more focused on comedy than most horror moviesm, especially in the case of Army of Darkness.

Still great films though... yeah.

I hate possessed kids; simply kick any knee-biter who starts speaking ancient Arabic languages.

I'm also tired of all the seeing or talking to the dead movies that Sixth Sense inspired.

Probably all those fairy tale/magical creatures gone awry movies like The Leprechaun, Rumpelstiltskin, Pinocchio's Revenge, etc. I hate those movies.

I don't like slashers like jason, freddy, and michael myers (with the exception of the first halloween). I prefer a bit more personality, pizazz, weirdness, or campy humor. I know Freddy is supposed to have personality, but I just don't find him entertaining for some reason.
Also I'm not that into the animals attack stuff. Aside from the first Jaws i haven't seen many quality scary animal pics.

There's not many quality animal pics, but if you love campy humor Abby, check out Mosquito. It's hilarious.

I like most genres, even the magical creature thing, although I have at least 1 movie in each genre I hate

pyschological is my least favorite, but I still like it:)

usually find vampires boring with the exception of the great warhol's dracula

It really depends on my mood

movies about dogs. Cujo wasn't scary. Dog runs at you, kick it in the mouth. Not that complicated a concept.

The loud ones. 13 Ghosts, Resident Evil, lot of crashing and screaming with Nu Metal blaring in the background. Quiet is scarrier, and a lot more tolerable.

I have yet to see a good killer dog movie.

Actually, I hate the sort of lame slashers like Scream and Urban Legend. Psychological and the GOOD slashers are my favorites along with demonic movies like The Excorcist.

Psychological are my favorites as well. Not a big fan of animal attack movies, im not really into campy shit either. Dead alive is the exception tho.

Im kinda picky.

I dont like: Animal Horror, Vampires, Possesed Kid (exception: the Exorcist), and I HATE Horror-Comedy. Pick a genre damnit.

I like psychological horrors. Because, those are the ones that scare me. I like most horror sub-genres. Peoples insides becoming their outsides don't scare me. I like those movies, sure, but they're not scary. I don't think I have a least favorite horror sub-genre. :D

right out im a zombie guy. i think romero really hit somthing with his trinity. perhaps its the underlining feeling of solitude that i relate to. Being surrounded yet alone.

i always felt that slasher movie were little more than dressed up exploitation flicks. Not that i dont enjoy one every so often (i mean really who doesnt like boobs) but really they are cheap thrills.

I like psychological flicks. For instance the original haunting, that movie was scary as hell without ever showing a single ghost.

Im also big on scifi/creature films. Event horizon, screamers, aliens, predator.

ill watch anything once, whether or not ill it afire afterwards is another story.

Although i like the Romero Flicks (and 28 days later), most zombie movies suck. I dont like any of the return of the living dead movies or the endless italian zombie movies. They are just errible and lack any of the depth that romero at least attempted to put in his movies.

A relatively new genre i do like, however is the horror video game mvies. I liked resident evil, and it gave me shiovers the first time i saw it. I would love to see a silent hill or doom movie, if they did it right.

I've never been a big Vampire fan, but there are exceptions like Fright Night. Slashers are my favourite.

Predictable horrors. There's nothing worse.

And most "ghost stories" movies just bore me.

Probably the mutant, swarming, and/or killer animal movie. I've yet to see a good one.

I'm not really into vampire movies, especially the crappy ones of late.
