What horror movies have you NOT seen but want to?

Mine are:

28 Days Later
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2-6
Friday the 13th parts 2,3,6,7, and 9
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Original, and remake)
Maybe a few Stephen King movies

And..uh.. maybe Ringu

Anyone else have any suggestions? Or want to share what horror movies YOU want to see.....?

avenger00soul 01-20-2004 11:22 AM

I have not had the chance to see either Cannibal Apocalypse or Cannibal Ferox. I have never seen Versus, The Prowler, Deathdream, or The Offspring although I really want to. And, from what I hear on this board, Ricky Oh is something I should see.

heapodd 01-20-2004 12:00 PM

From my observations from other threads in this forum (sadly my good friends don't like horror) I would very much like to watch Pit and the Pendulum. Another film I missed the other night which I really wanted to see was Ravenous but unfortunately life got in the way.

Not a big fan of the slash genre so have no desire to see most of the modern films that have been out in the last few years.

I would recommend you see Ringu though - that's one hell of a movie, but again not one for your slash, gore and special effects merchants.

Was that a list of movies you want to see, or movies suggested?

Because Cujo's cool, and Poltergeist is the shit!

Dr.Kelvinstein 01-20-2004 12:49 PM

Let me start off by saying if you're looking for something rare, try DCS Video Screams, whose ad is usually in the back of Fango. They have cheap prices and almost ANY movie you're looking for. Their movies are usually dubbed from Japanese laser disc or long out of print VHS tapes, so quality varies, but they're always improving masters and will replace anything you buy from them that is later made available in better quality.

I've located every horror movie I've been looking for; the last on my list was Terror Creatures From The Grave and I Walked With a Zombie, both of which I saw around Halloween (one on TV, the other on DVD).

There are few 50s sci-fi movies (Colossus of New York) and spaghetti Westerns I want to see, though. And I can't find the sword-and-sandal movie Colossus of Rhodes, which was Sergio Leone's first film.

What I really want is to see my faves on DVD and in widescreen: Deathdream, Curse Of The Werewolf, Taste The Blood Of Dracula, Dracula Has Risen From the Grave and The Conqueror Wprm among others.

And I really, really want that Blind Dead boxed set to hurry up and come out. I've never seen the 3rd one uncut (or at least I don't think I have; all three of the versions I saw were pretty tame).

Yeah, I saw like.. 30 minutes of it. But stopped watching it, I forget why. I'd like to see all of it some day, though.

Signs515 01-20-2004 02:31 PM

The Fog was alright for 1980 I suppose but I've seen it twice so far and boths times I found myself a little bored. IMO it's just an average movie, nothing more nothing less.

KRUGERKID13 01-20-2004 02:34 PM

the fog isnt that great

KRUGERKID13 01-20-2004 02:36 PM

Darkness Falls was good. I thought it was gonna suck. The idea was cool. They could've made it alot scarier. Since it was hardly scary...

I really want to see High Tension, and I'd like to get my hands on some more Fulci movies. I've seen Zombie and City of the Living Dead, but that's it.

The House with Laughing Windows

Anyone here seen it? It came so very highly recommended from a fellow horror jounalist, I decided to just go ahead and buy it.

Never even heard of it before, but some online reviews I found say it's a real masterpiece of Italian horror. I've had it for about two months, with no time to watch yet...!

Piece of crap. Although there was one pretty good character with the cop. Leatherface sucked, they turned him into another Jason/Myers type character...took away his mystery, took away his awesomness. Worth seeing though, I guess.

AUSTIN316426808 10-02-2005 09:26 PM

The Thing from Another World

I'm sure there's more but that's all I can think of at the moment.

dont see "Halloween 3", "Hellraiser 4", "Nightmare 6" and "Friday 8"

...and I wanna see "The Descent" too

bwind22 10-03-2005 04:47 AM

Hmmm... Interesting thread however I think I've basically seen all the horror I want to. Now I'm in to rewatching franchises start to finish and staying up on the new stuff that comes out.

That's not to say that I've seen every horror movie out there or anything, just the ones I actually want to see.

However, I haven't had any luck finding Cannibal Ferox yet so I guess that would be one. (I'm not sure I actually want to see it, but if I find I will get it just because I havent seen it yet.)

And now that I'm thinking of it, I have a friend who keeps telling me to rent The Changeling because it's awesome. (I don't hold this girls opinion of horror very highly though. She thinks Last House on the Left is like the best movie ever made.) Anyone know anything about The Changeling?

So yeah, after some thought... My list is this...

Cannibal Ferox
The Changeling

It's not gonna blow your mind, but it's cool if you like The Omen movies...It's sorta that kinda type/speed...

For me...I still need to see:

Corpse Bride (Seri went without me:mad: )
The Village (I can't believe I still haven't seen it)
Cannibal Holocaust
Cannibal Ferox
Hide And Seek
White Noise
Exorcism Of Emily Rose
Boogey Man (I can't believe I still haven't seen that one, either)
The Locker
BloodRayne (Okay, that's not 'horror'...But...still...)
Constantine
Skeleton Key
Red Eye
Cursed
Exorcist: The Beginning
Devil's Rejects

I know there are LOTS more (Hell, I didn't watch AVP until LAST NIGHT:rolleyes: )...I just can't think of them right this minute...

Ah, The Changeling is a classic. Ghost story with some Omen-like elements, like Bloodrayne said. If you like this genre, I'd definitely recommend it.
