Because when I was away I started to realize just how much you all mean to me...

Fuck, this thread is going to get sappy as hell REALLY quick.

I don't know.... I like most of the people here. It's fun. It's an escape from reality (which i avoid as much as possible)

I must admit that I first came here as a spammer- every October I would post some notices about my Halloween Radio stations.

But last year I started checking out some of the other forums and discovered a bunch of cool people who loved horror movies. There was a lot of info on upcoming and recent films which was pretty interesting & informative.

So, fun people and lots of info & talk about horror movies make a winning combo for me. It's the only forum I haunt several times a day- even radio sites I don't go to as much because they aren't as active.

to discuss horror movies - see what new ones are coming out, see what people thought of them, find out about ones i was unaware of ..suggest movies to other people ...

and some light hearted chit chat.

I first came here to do research for a book with a section on horror fandom, but was ridiculed to a bloody pulp, at which point I lashed out, got reprimanded, but decided to stay anyway. I had such a good time, I forgot what I was doing.

I come here because MurderDoll loves me so much. :D

I love the people here,most of you anyway.I have been on here for soon to be 3 years and over that time i have made friends,lost friends,and went through a whole load of shit.You guys are always there for me when i need a cheering up.Over the past couple of days i have turned to a forum of people who i consider some of the best people i'll never meet.I love this forum and i love all of you.Thanks for this thread Rayne,its like you were reading my mind.

The main reason I come here is definitely the people. Even though some people are not as talkative to me as others the whole vibe I get when coming here is awesome. I love chatting with everyone about movies and see what they thought in the Last Seen Movie thread, I love participating in the tournaments and whatnot and I also love all the info and games V comes up with.

Plus it's fun to be able to get all of you to listen to my radio show and call in and chat with me when I am bored.

I got no place else to go.

I used to come here all the time to talk to people who have mutual interests, and just kinda chill out and have a few laughs. I still try to come here for the same reason just don't get to that often anymore. I do miss my little killin time forum:(

Just like the others, to chat about film, especially horror. Also I like taking part in a tourney (or ten thousand) and I play a certain little "game" that I'm rapidly running out of time for. Also to do trivia and give things away when I have time.

I love that I can really open up here when I need to and you're all another group of great friends for me.

I started out coming here to learn about horror movies I may not have heard of, to share my love of the Hammer films and Christopher Lee, and ended up staying because I've had some really good conversations and laughs here. You guys can make me laugh when no one else can. I've been coming here for quite a while now - about 3 or 4 years - albeit in a couple different incarnations.

i forgot the reason i posted so much at first ... my last job - i had nothing to do .. i was being kept around as a personal gofer for some asshole and had no actual work to do.

thats why my post count was crazy..

i have a lot less time now - and unless my family has crashed and i'm too tired to watch a movie - i'm not on much at night.

so HDC gave me something to do when i was bored at work - and i do it at work now when i need to take a break. ... but outside of work .. i have little or no free time.

I dunno, you've hit 1000 posts pretty fast. Seems like you're taking a lot of breaks. get back to work!

I come for the movie reviews. but I stay for the freak show!

hmmm.. Believe it or not, i too was a spammer when i first came here. I had just launched Scared Yet and was desperately trying to get people to go there. I figured jjust popping in and saying "come visit my site!" would earn me a fuck you and then get ignored, so i figured i would hang out and chat.

Met some cool people, but honestly, Darth BAne and his cronies are responsible for me staying. They gave me a channel for being annoying, and i seemed to be theone person who could get under their collective skin more than anyone. :D Kept me coming back daily, then it just became habit.
