He spilled alcohol all over the nerves and the grey matter and fizzled them out.

Now there are just random twitches...one here, one there.

The drains leading out are blocked too. A good, long flush might bring everything tumbling out of the ears.

It gradually goes from quiet, serious drama to a really manic, loud, over the top dark (REALLY dark) comedy. Daniel-Day Lewis chews the scenery like it's made of delicious taffy.

he's right, although there certainly is an air of horror throughout the majority of the film as well. it's incredible. i've seen it four times and it just keeps getting better.
