I need some help (BUT NOT WITH FINDING A MOVIE!!!)
 

Alright, you lot all know I'm 14. I'm quite short (4ft 10") and quite smart. The trouble is, I've never had a girlfriend. There are a few girls at school who I think are okay and one I like quite a lot. I've never kissed a girl or anything and as far as I know, none of the girls I like like me. I thought maybe some of you might be able to help out. How do I get a girl to like me?

I was always a sucker for nerdy guys. And fell for best friends (despite the stereotype of "the friend label).

At 14 that was what, 8th grade? I loved the goofy and smart guys. Be smart, be sweet, and sweep her off her feet.

Oh, and if you ask her to the movies, make sure you put your arm around her; I remember being irritated that my boyfriend did not do the same in the 6th grade.

Just take it easy... I remember being about 14 and thinking the girlfriend/dating thing was all there was. Just be yourself (cliche, I know) and the right one will come to you. Don't stress it.

You don't get a girlfriend ust because you think it's time to have one. You get a girlfriend when you meet someone who seems "special" to you and you want to be part of her life. When the both of you feel the same way then that's a cool thing.

But you shouldn't try to get with someone just because the rest of the world says you're not normal just because you're not part of a couple.

Wait til you hit high school then just be the biggest dick you can be.From my expericence in life and what I've seen women always go for the biggest asshole in the crowd.I know it sounds fucked up, but its true.Don't be a nice guy cause then women will just walk all over you.Trust me I learned that first hand.

Dude, the first thing you need to do, is prod around a bit, and find out if the kitten fancies ya. You don't want to be marchin' into some other oafs territory. And if she does like ya, go up to her, tell her something sweet (complimenting her is always a good way to go), then see where it goes from there. At all costs, avoid the awkward silence, that will really make a heap'o trouble fer ya.

Seriously though man, if you really like her, start talking to her, and just let yourself kind of flow from within. All of the words should come straight to mind. Just don't stare down her shirt. :p

i have to agree with freak about most women going for the big mouth bad boy...but i dont see that in you, so just keep cool and the right girl will find you.

well, I'm quite good friends with the girl I like. And that's what I think might be the trouble. In fact, I'm friends with a lot of the girls. I just hope I'm not always just seen as a friend.

what kind of girls are they?

If she's a good friend, likes your company and likes you, just enjoy the friendship and wait and see if it expands. Relationships are organic things, not goal oriented but experiential. Enjoy the experience and make sure she does too and then, maybe she'll grow comfortable enough to understand your feelings. If she's a good enough friend, she's not going to be hideously cruel if you tell her you're attracted to her or never see you again. If she's like that, you probably don't want her as either a friend or a girlfriend. Also, totally take the advice about not being pressured. There is no pressure. You do not live in India, medieval times or the Wild West. 14 is not marriageable.

I say wait a few years. In my opinion at your age having a boyfriend of girlfriend is just something to brag about and you may regret it later. Especially because you say you're friends with this girl. Stay her friend for another year or two and once the tension reallllly kicks in you'll both probably admit you've liked eachother for years.
