well im new around here and didn't know where to make this thread. Im looking to watch a good horror film and dunno which to download so please help me out. Name a few you seen ill look into them. Thanks

check the top of the general forum there are several lists, but you should start with the HDC top 100 and go from there.

well, it really all depends on your tastes. give us a list of some of your favorites and we can work from there.

also, don't download them. you should rent them, and if you like it enough, buy it.

Not all downloading is illegal. There are a lot of sites offering the movies to be downloaded for a price.

What era of horror do you prefer? 20's-40's? 50-60's? 70's? 80's? 90's or today's? I'd say grab a random selection of films from the 70's and 80's and go from there.

Have you tried the Phantasm movies? Some people find them a bit lame, especially the first, but they're among my favourites. Also Susperia, the original dawn of the dead and day of the dead. I also quite liked thirteen ghosts and the first 3 hellraiser movies, if you can get hold of the directors cut.

I highly suggest Curse of the Demon (or Night of the Demon) and The Fly (1986).:D

The Fog (orginal)
Maniac
Night of the Hunter
Night of the living dead
(If those last two dont change your mind about older horror nothing will)
Both versions of Cape Fear were pretty good. The orginal was better though.
