When Jack Torrance looks in the mirror and realizes he is making out with a corpse and not a beautful woman in Kubrick's "The Shining".

As for me, I'm going to go with the end of Audition and the razor wire scene in Suspiria. The Suspiria one isn't too gorey but the idea of it makes me sick to my stomach I was shaking for 5 minutes after it happened and am a little bit right now just from thinking it.

I've only seen 1, 2, and 3, and they are absolutely ridiculous. Especially #1. It almost brought a tear to my eye. :o

haha that's the scene in the SAW series that bothered me the most too! :p

I agree 100% on the needle pit. I could stomach just about anything else, SaW was a little much for me on that one scene, otherwise it was a great movie. I can deal with one or two needles but when you create a pit, screw that.

The baby being taken from the mother and unceremoniously tossed into a burning building BEFORE taking a flamethrower the the building again in Rambo.

For me, it has to be the self mutilation scene in the first segment of Family Portraits. It's the first time ever that I really wanted to look away. Actually, the whole film is pretty disturbing. A very hard watch.

If thats really the Jean Claude I think it is, its even more disturbing to me now.....

Word... If anyone has not seen this, due yourself a favor and do so. Netflix carries it... It had me sqirming...

- As already mentioned, the spiderwalk scene from Exorcist.

- The movie-long rape scene that is I Spit on Your Grave.

- Anal fisting scene in Caligula.

- The overall sense of "absolute power absolutely corrupts" that pervades Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma.

Wasn't this scene cut out of the original theatrical release? I think it was only in the re-released director's cut or whatever. I always thought this was an important scene b/c it added a new sense of horror b/c now she wasn't confined to that room only.

In the original is was just her laying in that bed the whole time, b/c the spider walk was cut out. With that scene included we realise that the evil is not confined to that room until she is strapped down.
