28 Months Later!!!! Yes!!
Oh boy, this makes me super-excited!!! :)
In March 2007, Boyle announced plans to create a third chapter of the film franchise, which will be given the title 28 Months Later with a 2009 release date,[34] thus creating a trilogy. Boyle has stated that his thoughts are to set the movie in Russia.[35] In June 2007, it was announced that if DVD sales of the film did well Fox Atomic would consider producing the third film.[36] In July 2007, while promoting the film Sunshine, Boyle revealed that he has a story formulating for the next film "There is an idea for the next one, something which would move [the story] on. I've got to think about it, whether it's right or not." Boyle also revealed that he would return as the director.[37] Alex Garland might be considered in writing the story with Boyle, but no announcements have been made. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/28_Weeks_Later#Sequel Oh god... could you imagine if Boyle brought back Cillian Murphy???  |
i really liked the first one - liked the idea of the 2nd (but felt it wasn't really pulled off well) - so i'm open to a third
(which should make Boyle sleep easier at night) |
cool. glad boyle's behind it this time.

Ugh... Days was amazing. Weeks sucked. Great premise, but there were so many glaring holes in the plot it became painful to watch. I really hope that Months redeems the series.
|
I thought weeks was pretty good, couldnt compare to days though.
|
A very good news. Hope everything goes fine. I liked both days & weeks and I think in the genre 28 weeks was the best of 2007.
|
Yeah, I honestly love "Days" and "Weeks" equally. I can't pick one over the other. Say what you want about "Days" being superior.... but in all fairless, they both kick a lot of ass.
I think when "Months" comes out (and if it's fairly good), we will have witnessed the greatest zombie series of all time.... possibly better than Romero's. And, I mean, Resident Evil ended on a very very very sour note for me too. |
meh
I really, really liked "Days" & thought "Weeks" was interesting and fun... but what else needs saying here? I'll wait for DVD for this one (as I do with most films that start repeating themselves.) I'm much more interested in Romero's Diary of the Dead and Adam Green's upcoming (hopefully) Dead West |
Yeah, I enjoyed the first two like everybody else, but even attempting to compare this series to that of Romero's is quite ridiculous.
And Cilian Murphy sucks. |
this sounds good news as i liked both days and weeks
my only snag with weeks was why did Robert Carlyle (Don) sudenly get a mission when everyone else that was infected just went mad and wanted to kill. |

I agree with Rod, I'm looking forward to Diary of the Dead more then Months. |
cant wait for this, ive got both on dvd and loved both
|
Wow, great. I'll be looking forward to this! The first two were excellent. Wonder if they'll be following it up with 28 YEARS LATER?? :D ZOMBIES IN THE FUTURE!
|
28 Weeks Later was significantly better than the original. I just hope - BEYOND HOPE - that the third movie doesn't suck.
That would make me murderous. |

I think you really need to see "Weeks" 3 or 4 times before it sinks into you, you know? |
I came away convinced that Weeks was better, right after my first viewing of it.
|
Can't wait for 28 Ions Later.
I like 28 Weeks better than days after my first viewing too. 28 Days was phenomenal, but weeks was way more exciting and kept me interested. Plus the way it was filmed and some of the shots were amazing. |

Anyways, I like Days better than Weeks. The whole guy waking up in the hospital, not knowing whats going on. Then being thrown into chaos out of nowhere. Its like, hey.... where is everybody? Then OMFG!!! LIKE A BAZILLION FAKKIN ZOMBIES!! I dunno, I may be a spaz, but that rhythm of the movie was alot like the a kind of music I like. Where some metal or rock songs will start out slow and soft, and then all of a sudden turn fast loud and hard. Weeks just seemed kinda weak plot-wise. It just had too many holes in it. Thats just what I think anyways. If they do make a Months then I'll watch it and hope for the best, but I'll probably just pick up the dvd. |
Did you guys see Boyle's "Sunshine" yet? I was a little disappointed, but it was pretty cool. Not Boyle's best (28 Days is, obviously).
