does anyone use Limewire?

because i wish to download it, but i'm pretty sceptical about the "no viruses" thing.

if anyone has it, have you had problems with it?

I prefer Ares to limewire

I downloaded it the other day to look for a keygen and I had it for 5 minutes before unintalling and I'm pretty sure I got a virus cause I've been getting pop ups galore ever since. it screwed up my old computer pretty bad too.

I downloaded it a long time ago, hasn't given me any problems.

Yeh, I have it for over two years now and it's been fine for me.

I've had it for ages now and haven't had any problems with it. I always double check everything I download from it just in case, but fine so far.

nope dont like it... always heard bad stories

how much do you value your computer? is it high performance, do you play games on it? if not, its totally worth it, if so, dont mingle with it. good program, but not without viruses.

What are you trying to get out of it, movies, music, programs?

Only use it for music. Worked fine for me. Be aware at what you're downloading.

Yeah, limewire is good, if you have the right protection for your computer. Definaly have your anti-virus updated, and have a good anti-spyware program. I'd go with AVG anti-virus, because it updats frequently, for spyware I would go with Spybot search and destroy. That updates twice a week i beleive.

if you download anything from anywhere, you should be aware of viruses,


no need to blame limewire.
