RIP Evel Knievel

A daredevil and a showman, he left millions breathless with his groundbreaking stunts. He will be missed.

Holy Shit:eek:

I bet he never thought he'd make it to 69, but this one really upset me. Evel was my hero when I was a kid and I still have my Evel Knievel motorcycle-riding daredevil-doll. I wish I still had the rocket car, I'd totally give him a viking funeral in it.

The world just got a little less daring.

*raises a beer*

ferretchucker 11-30-2007 03:04 PM

Holy shit! I never thought he'd die.

Damn, I remember watching his stunts through my childhood. Amazing that he didn't die back then. Good for him for lasting as long as he did and living his dream. RIP.

This is unexpected. He was hero to a lot of people back in the 70's. I was just recently getting into the film he made, "Viva Knievel," was humming the theme song today, even. R.I.P.

He was the unsung hero of millions, a true ground-breaker and a person with a big heart.

R.I.P. Evel. You will be missed by us.
