Temple of Doom or Last Crusade?

I made a big mistake in my sequel tournament. Out of confusion, I labeled Raiders of the Lost Ark a sequel. Reason being, I tend to get all three mixed up (obviously). Raiders is the most revered of all three, and is usually the most talked about. Normally, I don't make these types of mistakes. But, so be it, I have made a huge mistake. Now, I've got another problem. I converted Raiders to Temple of Doom, but am getting some comments that it should be Last Crusade. Now, Indiana Jones will move on to the second round (seeing as it was a landslide), but the question remains. Which one? This is where you guys come in. There will be a poll up for 24 hours, letting you decide which Indiana Jones movie will be featured in the tournament. This will not put the sequel tournament at a stop though. The tournament will continue as planned, since this decision will not affect the rest of round one (and will be resolved before round two kicks in). Thanks for your participation in the tournament, your help to point out this mistake, and your gentle way of handling this situation. I promise to make sure that my next tournament will be created much more carefully.

I had to vote for Sean Connery. :o Last Crusade...

The STE 11-28-2007 09:12 PM

Last Crusade. There was no joy in Temple of Doom. When I see Indiana Jones, I want a sense of wonder and adventure.

roshiq 11-28-2007 09:42 PM

There were also lots of fun & adventure on Last crusade and yeah..it has Connery but undoubtedly Temple of the Doom got more appeal to me for some of its great sequences that made it a true classic in the adventure genre.

Sorry Zero :p

Temple of Doom for me.

Disease 11-29-2007 02:34 AM

I actually watched Temple of Doom about 5 times before I got my hands on a copy of Raiders, so Raiders kind of feels like the sequal to me...

GorePhobia 11-29-2007 10:45 AM

Temple of Doom for me.

Where were you last night? Thanks for pointing that out ferret. Last Crusade it is. Sorry (again) for the inconvenience. And thanks again, ferret.

ferretchucker 11-29-2007 12:08 PM

you're welcome. It's just something me and my friends had an argument about a few years back so I remember.

Yellow Jacket 11-29-2007 12:08 PM

I'm glad you had that argument.

Yellow Jacket 11-29-2007 05:00 PM

Last Crusade won anyway.

Yeah, I know. I was rooting for Temple of Doom. I even pitched my vote. Even if it did win, I wouldn't of been able to put it up since I found out it was a prequel. That's against my rules (damn my rules), or else I would've put Batman Begins in instead of Batman Returns (even though I didn't like Begins).

Disease 11-29-2007 05:12 PM

Yeah, you fucked your self... huhahu...

ferretchucker 11-30-2007 07:15 AM

I didn't care for temple of doom or Batman Begins

That's because you have no taste from licking Ferrets all day long.

ferretchucker 11-30-2007 07:26 AM

So that's why I had all that fur in my mouth.

I liked Temple of Doom, but I thought Batman Begins was too long and didn't keep me interested. I like Christian Bale, I think he's a good actor. But, I think he was the wrong choice to play Batman. I thought his performance was lackluster.

Disease 11-30-2007 12:43 PM

I didn't get into it much either, though i do like bale's acting generally.. but any batman is good batman as far as I'm concerned . except for George Clooney...

Jumping jillickers... there is a double episode of origanal batman on tonight.

I'm a huge Clooney fan, but he was the worst Batman I've ever seen. He doesn't fit the role, plain and simple. I liked Michael Keaton, and Adam West did the cartoony Batman very well (and I'm not insulting the show, I actually like it). Out of all the Batman's, I think Kilmer was the best to put in the bat tights.

Good point. And Chris O'Donnel as Robin was just annoying. I've always hated him.

ferretchucker 11-30-2007 01:57 PM

Schumacher made the series great! How can nipples on the bat suit not seem good to you?! :D

Hahahaha. Batman Forever wasn't that bad, but B&R was just plain horrible.

Yeah, It's hard to watch.... Hopefully I will never see it again.

Yellow Jacket 12-01-2007 05:13 AM

I love how we went from Indiana Jones to Batman. Up next, Spider-man. :p

ferretchucker 12-01-2007 12:35 PM

I had got a batman DVD for christmas and bought Batman Returns from a car boot sale. So then, my friend says "Have you checked out the one with arnie. It's great!" Ever since, we don't speak so much.

Hahahaha. I actually have a friend who loves Batman & Robin. Every time he mentions it, I smack him.

The Vault of Horror 12-02-2007 10:12 AM

I used to prefer Last Crusade, but over time I've sided more with Temple of Doom. Funny as it sounds, it seems more in line with tone of Raiders. I feel like Speilberg was already entering his less edgy phase by the end of the '80s with Last Crusade.

Disease 12-02-2007 10:24 AM

surely you have blogged about it.....
