...Heard some music I really liked on a late night show the other night...pretty sure it'd come under the "metal" category.
The band was called (at least I think) "TRMUM".
Anyhows, the shit really rocked out, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this band?
I've searched...and either I've got the name slightly wrong, or they're not very well known.
All the same, any assistance would be appreciated.

Trivium is alright. Not the best stuff I've ever heard. They sound a lot like Atreyu and a lot of people label them a clone.

I heard a couple more I might try and get too...
Hammerfall - they seem great
Iced Earth - Huge long guitar riffs and an 80's metal feel.
Dimmu Borgir...although I'm not really sure what to make of these guys.

The only one of those that I've listened to is Dimmu Borgir.

They are black metal. Most black metal bands sound similar to them. They are pretty good though.

Maybe check out the rest? MIGHT be worth your while...

The other two remind me a bit of Iron Maiden.

....Not really my style.

Trivium are a good band but I also suggest Atreyu over them but Iced Earth have great songs and yes there very similiar to Maident as well as Hammerfall there song Hearts On Fire is great but as far as Dimmu Borgir there one of my favorite bands check out Progenies of The Great Apocalypes,The Serpentine Offering, Puritania.

Trivium are weak as fuck nu/pop metal..... terrible (but thats just me).
Iced Earth aren't to bad from what I've had played to me. You might dig 3 Inches Of Blood aswell.
But dude check out Municipal Waste they kick ass. Hazardous Mutation is a good album to start with. I reckon you'd like 'em.... good beer drinking party thrash!
Oh yeh and Dimmu Borgir are completle shit and a insult to Black Metal but it gives 13 year old kids a chance to feel tuff.

Since when does a band being able to kick (or rape) another band's ass mean they're better? What a silly thread. Dragon Force is the most "80's like" metal band I've heard in the past... oh... 5 or so years.

Dragonforce kick ass but 80's metal is the shit also but I also listen to Black Metal.

I really should pick up some Death Breath... sounds like Nicke Andersson has gone back to his Entombed roots. Whats with all the killer bands from Sweden? Must be something in the water over there.
